What you ended up with is a broken down clunker version of Massachusetts' RomneyCare. One that could of been workable initially until the Republicans decided to butcher it and make it as unworkable as they could get away with the sole intent of creating this Cl^*^^*F^*^.

Are there actually still people defending this train wreck of a presidency?
Obama care is a complete and utter failure and arguing minutia isn't going to change that fact.
If someone paid a quarter of a billion, half a billion or a full billion isn't relevant.
I know kids at the local high school that could have designed a working website for free.
Obama wanted single payer universal healthcare just like we have (Canada) and regardless of the BS you may have heard it works and works well (although I think dental should also be covered).
Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius admitted Wednesday that it was possible convicted felons could be hired as ObamaCare ‘navigators,’ giving them access to personal information like Social Security numbers and addresses of anyone signing up for the program
“Isn’t it true that there is no federal requirement for navigators to undergo a criminal background check,” Cornyn asked her.
“That is true,” Sebelius answered. “States could add in additional background checks and other features, but it is not part of the federal requirement.”
Cornyn pressed, “So a convicted felon could be a navigator and could acquire sensitive personal information from an individual unbeknownst to them?”
Sebelius answered, “This is possible.”

Here's another to add to the list.
Felons could have been hired as ObamaCare 'navigators,' Sebelius tells Senate panel

Aside from the potential of convicted felons having access to people's personal info - what about the "not yet convicted" ones? The fact that so many "navigators" will have access to people's personal info is beyond disturbing. This is identity theft heaven!

As a Canadian I've been sitting back and watching this whole debate with a mixture of disbelief and amusement.

I would trust a felon more then I trust the government with my private info. I do not see the issue here.

8. Obama promised that there wasn't even going to be a mandate and then "changed his mind" as soon as he was "elected".
Obama replied that his plan was universal (a claim we rated Barely True ) and explained why he was against a mandate: "A mandate means that in some fashion, everybody will be forced to buy health insurance. ... But I believe the problem is not that folks are trying to avoid getting health care. The problem is they can't afford it. And that's why my plan emphasizes lowering costs."
Obama said at the time it was possible some people would refuse to buy health care under his plan.

3. The now-infamous Obamacare website cost U.S. taxpayers over $1 billion to build
In testimony on Capitol Hill, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said, in response to a direct question: “Congresswoman, we have spent about $118 million on the website itself, and about $56 million has been expended on other IT to support the web.”
That adds up to $174 million.

Your list is only as strong as your weakest claim.
you sure about that?
First Lady Michelle Obama’s Princeton classmate is a top executive at the company that earned the contract to build the failed Obamacare website.
Toni Townes-Whitley, Princeton class of ’85, is senior vice president at CGI Federal, which earned the no-bid contract to build the $678 million Obamacare enrollment website at Healthcare.gov. CGI Federal is the U.S. arm of a Canadian company.

And your Republicans.
It was Bush, Chenny and co that started the ball rolling in the first place.
Obama just contuned with it and expanded it.
You think if you voted in Mccain or Rommeny things would have been diffrent? Hell it would be worse as you would likley be drafted by now to serve in the wars in Syria and Iran they would have started.
People have short memorys.
I bet in 10 years time when you voted the republicans in for a secound term and they are continueing with the mess obamas made (Plus a few wars) you will be demanding the democrats back. And in 20 years when the Democrats are screwing you again you will be praying for the republicans again.
Its just a cycle of political stupidity.edit on 7-11-2013 by crazyewok because: (no reason given)edit on 7-11-2013 by crazyewok because: (no reason given)edit on 7-11-2013 by crazyewok because: (no reason given)edit on 7-11-2013 by crazyewok because: (no reason given)
