Oh, I know. That's a bit of a point in and of itself. My brain didn't have to go there but it did. It sort of makes me a bit more sympathetic towards people who don't understand the symbolism involved in what I do.

You did post it in a forum that includes a lot of people with big imaginations...

Clever and cute ....

BUT .. pumpkins that have been carved out and a candle put in them ROT very quickly.
When they rot, their mushy rotted body is tossed in the trash can.
Those left alone in the pumpkin patch are healthier and last longer.
And when they die in the patch, their bodies become food for the ground.

I am a fan of Practical Christianity, so the practical application would not be just to carve a pumpkin to let people see a light from within, but to make pumpkin pie with the scooped out part and put Cool-Whip on it and have a feast.

Who then stands around while eating pie, looks at the former shell and says.. "Oh nice light" or do they say "Oh, nice pie"? I want pie now, think I will go to the store today and get one.
