It seems very important to me that UFO enthusiasts understand the broad range of technology available that can be used to fake an UFO sighting. Let us use this thread to educate each other on the subject.

As if advanced CGI had not been enough, real world objects like quadcopters have made "alarming" progress

The MUWA (Multi-field Universal Wheel for Air-land Vehicle), developed at the University of Tokyo is an impressive little machine:

IEEE SPECTRUM: Quadrotor Wheel Can Fly, Float, and Roll

Another interesting example of a flying robot, developed at the Technical University of Lausanne:

And a cool display of "UFOs" flying in formation:

I am sure you can come up with other interesting vehicles that show surprising capabilities and could easily be mistaken for alien spaceships in a video.

Conclusions

1) Whenever you see a video of an UFO, ask yourself whether it could not be easily duplicated with one of these advanced remote control toys and some LED lights.

2) Dear alien visitors: Please reveal yourself publicly. It is getting to darn difficult to tell whether it is one of your ships or an earthly toy

Oh, they've got much better toys than remote controlled helicopters.

You can't trust your own eyes, even if you are staring at a metallic disk, in plain view, from 10' away.
