DHS to Hire “Top Secret” Domestic Security Force

Found this topic on MSM a few minutes ago, figured it would be an interesting discussion topic for the forum. New post block is unavailable to me there though, for some reason in Posse Comitatus forum so I figured I'd post it here.


News Story

It seems that DHS has their hand in pulling in another form of SS and I for one am fearing the day when they start attacking we the people. Its bound to happen sooner or later though. The story starts out innocently enough, makes it seem like they're hiring guards for some TS information.

The Department of Homeland Security is to spend $19 million dollars on a private security force in Wisconsin and Minnesota, an armed unit that must have a “Top Secret” security clearance according to an official solicitation.

This is where it gets more interesting:

Unlike previous solicitations, which normally detail how the guards will be deployed to protect government buildings, the document does not divulge what role the armed security force will undertake.

The hiring of private mercenaries with Top Secret clearances also suggests the DHS may be planning on using the contractors as cutouts who will be involved in a variety of different operations outside the purview of public and Congressional scrutiny.

Fox News’ Neil Cavuto suggested that the Department of Homeland Security’s recent $80 million dollar outlay on armed guards to protect government buildings in upstate New York was related to potential food stamp riots.

Always more money for goons n' guns but they have to cut food stamps?
2,000 armored cars but no money for veteran's care?
This is robbery to pay for war to be waged against us.
Sounds like they're trying to put together an elite unit for DHS.
How nice of them to give us the same treatment JSOC gives the Afghans.

but you COULD own a poppy field which is what they're afraid of! If you eat one poppy seed bagel, and they see it(of course they'll see it, they see everything now) then you could have all your assets seized and incomes forfeited for attempting to further the drug trade!

I can't believe that ANYBODY believes ANYTHING about what this government is doing no matter where it comes from. It is all totally controlled.

Why cant people realize that we as citizens (I use this term lightly) of the U.S. will know nothing tell it happens.

If I'm missing some where the truth is being told, please enlighten me, thank you ahead of time.

As citizens, we must be knowledgeable about what the government is even attempting to do, beforehand so we can manage it properly. Saying all news outlets are controlled is kind of true, because to some degree, they are.. Political motivations and agendas run rampant in journalism. Even if this is being brought forward because of an agenda, does it take away from the fact that it could be happening?

Take the PIPA/SOPA issue of net neutrality for instance: Big business' attempt to get a stranglehold on what we can do on the net. Had we not found out about this prior to it being brought before a vote, we may very well not even be having this discussion. Since we determined what the bill was trying to accomplish, we as a country were able to make a stand. Why shouldnt we stand now for something such as the issue I've brought forward?

Cant verify source of comment by Obama since I'm at work and youtube isnt available, but apparently the video stating a promise to build “a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded (as the US military).”

The links seem valid and reputable IMO but if you dont believe they are, that's entirely your opinion

When I first see something like this, I consider it a diversion until it manifests 'in the flesh' so to speak. There will be wars, and then there will be rumors of wars.

My guess is it's about a covert protection group to protect the likes of drone operating facilities, NCTC and all the intelligence groups facilities under their umbrella from a 'discreet' distance, in other words, a pinky guy listening and watching....something like Zimmerman. NCTC has already made some remarkable advisories, like don't explore old buildings, or facilities and put them up on the 'net, or stuff like Alex Jones used to do.

Something to consider is that NCTC are the new kids on the block, and they see themselves as controllers of all the intelligence agencies read the blurb/s

And they have a cartoon to look at as well.

If I'm reading this correctly, it's nothing all that nefarious. It's saying the Contractor needs to carry Top Secret facility clearance. That doesn't mean anyone gets good juicy stuff to browse, but that they can legally stand a guard post and walk inside to use the bathroom at a place which is doing Top Secret work in general.

So I was curious and looked that up...

A facility clearance is essentially a determination by the federal government that it would be in theinterest of national security for a particular company or organization to access classified information. Itis also known as a facility security clearance and its acronym is FCL. Just as national securityinformation is classified at one of three levels (Confidential, Secret, or Top Secret), facilityclearances are granted at one of those three levels.

As I read it, they wouldn't even be allowed inside the fence of the facility they eventually get assigned to guard, without that in place first?

Correct, or they'd have to be escorted by personnel who hold classification at all times on station

But why would you hire a contracted guard service for something you could employee MPs to accomplish for cheaper without having to go outside of military service??

Also going from this link they're adding (if my math's right... 723k hours divided by 40 hours per worker divided by 5 years equals)... 3615 new PSO guards... Thats a lot when you consider they're just "guards"

I'd ask that about a great many things these days, which are outsourced. I'll bet we get a better idea of that when we see who wins the contract and how politically connected the owners of the company are. I'll bet a dollar it's someone who has more than a passing connection to those who award it, eh?

That said official posting of the bid would come on November 20th. I really appreciate you finding this. I'm marking it on a calendar I use for reminders on follow-up to just these sorts of things. You never know what the details will turn out to be.

You aren't missing anything, our country is being run by intelligence agencies, even members of congress and the President don't know what is going on or have any control over it.

I think in Obama's case he might, but I also am under the impression that he wasn't supposed to get into office and is working for an outside organization based in the East. So ironically, he's informed, but not by the U.S. directly

Sounds crazy, but thats exactly whats happened with flying.

This is interesting because the government already has Wackenhut Security Services guarding most top secret sites now. They also have other contractors and sub-contractors guarding all kinds of hidden places. I am leaning towards this story as being not true.

However, that being said, and knowing the President's animosity towards special forces (here I am encompassing US Navy Seals, Army Special Forces, Delta Forces, Air Force Special Forces, Black Ops and others I might have missed) that this could be a trick to hire current and ex special forces and then eliminate them on suicidal and/or compromised missions. These would be the people that could initiate and carry out a coup if needed by the constitution of the United States.

From what I have seen of this president, he is very secretive and ruthless, using every available resource at his command, to enslave the American citizens. We are boiling frogs and the water keeps getting warmer...

Drama much? Even with the "terrorist threat" it was still safer to fly than it was to drive and that was without the TSA. The TSA and the DHS should both be dismantled because they nothing but a waste of money.

Must be part of what Obama was talking about back in the day, "A 'civilian defense force' as well-equipped and well-funded as the U.S. military." But I thought that the TSA was to fulfill that requirement? Especially now that they're going to be armed? And I guess something in that million page healthcare law had some framework to build this with? Weird times we live in.
