Setting up priorities are ok, but that doesnt mean that you dont spend your energy on other things.
Scientists need to continue their work, while the government / politicians try and solve the other problems.
When we spend about 2M on fixing new roads in a city after every monsoon rain, 73M for such a mission is pittance, wont you think?!

Hold on a minute. India has its priorities straight? Really? Much of their population live in abject poverty. The UK has to supply foreign aid so people don't starve to death out there, but they still have a space program and nuclear weapons. I guess it depends on what your priorities are.
