Interesting photo.
It almost looks like something one would see with an internal window reflection in the UFO forum.
It also looks a little bit like Sprite, Jet, or ELF phenomenon, but, as I understand it those are typically only visible in orbit occurring over storm systems.

While there's information on the photo in the link provided, it's too bad there's not more observation data relating to observation duration, movement characteristics (if any) as well as Photographer's perception/impression of distance (atmospheric, or orbital?)

Following info provided in link:
"I took this picture in Novo Hamburgo city, in the south of Brazil, photographed - between 8:30 and 9 PM on october 22nd - a strange object in the sky.
Canon Rebel T-4, ISO 100, f/4.5, 30s exposure, 35mm"

With 30 second exposure, was this just a blink during that time, or static the entire time, or, are some of the 'characteristics' associated with object/phenomenon of inquiry time blurred?

Yes, I never see anything similar ..

Think is natural phenomena, look's like some kind of Sprite and electromagnetic event ..

It looks like the SIMS spinning diamond to me.

I have never seen another pic of something like this either, but I am sure someone will be along shortly to debunk it. One never knows though...

Whatever it was it seems to look like it was spinning?

Kind of looks like a rainbow spinner that my children make at school:

The US military was down there for at least 6 month of top secret testing with their top weather people they don't call them metroligist but a group just returned about a month ago. Maybe it's up and running

It's a flare Canon cameras with certain lenses produce a flare like that!
