Although it is true I write these threads to be read by others, I mainly write them concerning myself. These are breadcrumbs on the trail of life. Ignorance is ignoring truth. I assume many people have trouble facing their own ignorance. I face it openly. You can't know the error in another unless you first see it in yourself.
We do not presume to come to this thy Table, O merciful Lord, trusting in our own righteousness, but in thy manifold and great mercies. We are not worthy so much as to gather up the crumbs under thy Table. But thou art the same Lord, whose property is always to have mercy: Grant us therefore, gracious Lord, so to eat the flesh of thy dear Son Jesus Christ, and to drink his blood, that our sinful bodies may be made clean by his body, and our souls washed through his most precious blood, and that we may evermore dwell in him, and he in us. Amen.
Most merciful God,
we confess that we have sinned against you
in thought, word, and deed,
by what we have done,
and by what we have left undone.
We have not loved you with our whole heart;
we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. We are truly sorry and we
humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ,
have mercy on us and forgive us;
that we may delight in your will,
and walk in your ways,
to the glory of your Name. Amen.

Why is the bible the highest axiom?
Pick a passage claiming a truth. Deny it if it is false. Your answer comes from the fact you cannot find a passage that is not true.
edit on 2-11-2013 by EnochWasRight because: (no reason given)
How about Romans 13?
Romans 13
1 Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2 Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. 4 For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. 5 Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience.
Tell me how this is true today. Are our leaders agents of God who do good?

Check my posts above. I answered your challenge. Your move now. Make it count. And don't just ignore me either.
So many people here on ATS seem to be against the easily discerned information in the Bible, yet they never come out and say what they really think.
Romans 13
3 For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. 4 For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer.

You're ignoring the most important part of the passage.
Romans 13
3 For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. 4 For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer.
Who do rulers hold terror for, the good or the bad? Read Mark 3:26 for your answer. They hold terror for the good and always have, even in the time that this epistle was written. Hell, Rome was persecuting Christians at the time of this epistle being written as well! I guess those Christians were bad people huh? Even Paul himself persecuted them on behalf of the Roman empire!
If they are Satan's minions, then why does this passage state that they are God's agents for our good? How is anything they do today for our good?
You ignored the most important parts of the passage, for good reason too, because they are absolutely NOT true in any way.

THAT is a cop out.
The "Wildtimes" post was a repeat (forward) of a FlyersFan post that included several pertinent links.
You're just going to ignore it because it was 'second hand'?
Ironic. Interestingly ironic.
Evidently, your research frightens him.
I will answer it when it is in a thread dedicated to the topic.

WHICH "topic"? It was a post in a thread that is still ongoing....in this forum.
What would you like the thread "title" to be so it is fit for your response?

Here you go, Ed:
What is so scary about thinking, or discovering, your Religion is false?
That's the thread. Please, I'd like very much for you to participate.
Take your time reading through it.
