My husband is in the teams, and yes....he did send an order that the TEAMS can not wear the don't tread on me flag...the truth will come out, and you will then realize you are the stupid one.

I just went on www.navy.mil and asked the following.

The is a rumor going around the internet that Navy S.E.A.L.'s have been ordered to remove the "Don't tread on me" patch from their uniforms. Is there any truth to this?

I will post their reply as soon as I get it.

I would have to call BS on this one. In my experience, SpecOps wear sterile uniforms. No name tags, branch of service...anything. The only thing I've ever seen sewn on their outfits are IR tags.

And when they're walking around the teams they wear digi camis with patch's and name tags.

He did not. He would be clueless what they have on their uniforms. Lets just try and use some common sense here. Obama may be Commander in Chief but he is not making minor uniform change. The Navy might and the military in general since local commanders can play fast and lose with uniform guidlines while down range. When you move into peacetime and garrison eveybody is wearing all kinds of stuff so they tighten the guidelines. That is a Navy call, not the White House, Congress, the State Department or the Lizard people. I can not believe people are so gullible to think every minor things the military does comes from the President. Come on people get with the damn program.

This is from Navy Seals page:

Is that website set up by the navy?

Oh, no it is not - so still nothing official - funny that, with all these claims no one is able to point to a official Navy announcement.

Now most people would stop and start thinking about now, but some people, without thinking, just blame Obama!

Why Monday? The "order" was sent by email on the 22/10/13, 13 days ago - and still nothing but blogs or articles using all the same page as a source. Nothing on any official Navy site at all....

Nope, the consensus seems to be that they're legit. Just read the comments on the articles

They've also banned boxer shorts and require everyone to wear specially-designed Mormon underwear instead.

The British sent prisoners to the U.S. so the early Americans said why don't we send rattlesnakes to Britain, that is where the whole idea came from.

Well that never happened. The British didn't sent rattlesnakes to the British. That's what they were, not "early Americans". Sorry if it the subject hits a nerve.

The armed forces are governed by the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
Maybe these seals have some sort of uniform.
Maybe this patch is not part of it.
Where is the order other than on a conspiracy site?

ALL YOUR LINKS quote "the daily caller".....again, one source with no name, no rank, no official order...I'm not saying the story is false, but suggesting that there are other links means that there are different sources

Good find !

So maybe this is true after all.

However, they were showing as 'reportedly'.

Not easy to get confirmation.

btw, this is the actual patch I think....

If you look into the founding of the us navy dont tread on me is actually quite apt.

That's Carl Higby the same guy who made the original claim on his daily caller blog, so this is not confirmation, just another repetition of the same source.

What's the big deal anyway? Since when is the navy not allowed to decide what patches will or won't be worn on their uniforms?
