Yes, but in this case, you don't have a custom fit Cinderella slipper that fits just one thing. People have fit the "shoes" of Revelation to everything they can think of since day 1 and look where it's gotten us.

The Leonids, a yearly meteor shower that occurs every November are about to start. Might have been an early arrival or just a lone meteor.

Here comes Wormwood! Or I should say we are going to run into this new space as that is what we do everyday, as our solar system speeds through the galaxy and outer space. This is why new things pop up every day, because they have no clue where we are going because no man has ever been there before. We are in for a ride on the great space train planet earth. The crap thing is the DOD doesn't have a big bumper for this car yet.

Thanks for the updates! It does indeed look like a spectacular year for Comets...

Just to clear something up: the thread title is a bit misleading. There are dozens of comets in the sky, visible in telescope. Hundreds more that are too faint, or would require a big observatory telecope.

What it's all about is that 4 of them are currently visible in binoculars, and some of those only under good dark sky conditions. Those of us living in cities and towns will probably only see one or two of them, not counting ISON when it brightens up significantly.

More than one comet visible in binoculars is exciting news, but it's nothing abnormal, it happened before.

There are no 4 riders of the apocalypse, just a bunch of comets happening to be close enough and bright enough. There are many sun-grazing comets which sometimes even dive straight into the Sun, but they are not detected untill they are very close to it. So there's plenty of stuff flying around there.

virgo
leo (therefore also highlighting the sickle of leo)
cancer(crab, something related to the sea) & (most ominous of all) canis minor
