Does the declaration by the Saudi intelligence chief that the
Saudi foriegn policy will be more autonomous and less in consert with us policy.......mean they are no longer in bed with the Bush Dynasty?

The anger Saudis express at the refusal of Barrack Obama to bomb syria over the chemical weapons use seems to have solidified into policy.
Or is this just another ploy to manipulate the govt?
Time will tell.......

So basically, where they used to export terrorists privately and kiss our government's collective backsides publicly... they will now just do away with all of that butt kissing?

It'll save them money on chap-stick...

Saudi Arabia should have been the first country to be "Regime Changed".

Now since Obama was check mated by Putin, and changed his approach to the whole Mid-East redrawing of borders, the Saudis are upset.

Boo-Hoo.....you want Assad out and Iran taken out, then grow some balls and do it yourself rather than expecting the USA to do it for you.

I can see Saudi still working covertly in tandem with Israel to achieve those goals.

Thats a win win for the west I beleive, let Israel/Saudi on one side and the rest on the other all take each other out.

Us here in the West will just sit back with out popcorn and watch what has been a long time coming.

The Saudi hierarchy are spoilt children, (using the term children lightly) maybe this video will give some impression of what is the hierarchy's outlook. As a regime they will be greatly perturbed by what is going on elsewhere, they didn't mind Saddam getting bumped, however they now like even less the idea of a democracy being born in Iraq, if it does succeed. the video is not this year, but that's all the better, there's even a laugh from a Ronald Raygun quote.

Something else to consider is by the end of next year the U.S. will be the #1 oil producer in the world.. Sorry but you can bet your bippie we will not see .30 a gallon price at the pump though. They better play nice or we won't buy their oil... Of course they will just turn to China to sell their products. None of that takes into account the world currency and the dollar being pegged to the price of oil... Only thing that has probably saved it's value...

There is info the Saudi's have been supplying money, personal, and covert ops for Syria... There is much discussion that they even did, directed, or funded, the Chemical weapon attack in Syria to get the States to move Since Obama's red line would have been crossed.
Did not work that way (Putin) and sorely pissed them off. There is a bitter low level fight between Iran and Saudi over religion. They do not like each other... If America and Iran come to some meeting of the minds then Saudi feels it will be to the detriment of the Arab nations. Did I say they don't like each other? Also they felt by getting rid of Assad it would be one more step to weaken Iran. They want Iran taken out IMO.

Abdel-Moneim said the weapons were supplied by a Saudi named Abu Ayesha, who leads a rebel battalion. He described some of the weapons as having a “tube-like structure,” while others were like a “huge gas bottle.” They were stored in tunnels, while the opposition fighters themselves slept in nearby mosques and private homes.

A female fighter who spoke with the news service complained, “They didn’t tell us what these arms were or how to use them. We didn’t know they were chemical weapons. We never imagined they were chemical weapons.”

She added, “When Saudi Prince Bandar gives such weapons to people, he must give them to those who know how to handle and use them.”

Maybe all B.S. but thinking about the history of the region then there may be some facts in all the chatter.

Tunisia and Egypt protest also scared the robes off the Sheiks so they are looking at just about any excuse to be pissed.

Not going to happen...
If they don't toe the line, they don't get parts for their military equipment anymore.

If every oil pit in Saudi Arabia was lit on fire, I wouldn't stop to urinate on it even if I really had to go. The majority of people in that country hate us, hate our parents, our children and would like to see us all go extinct. The only reason we have relations to them at all are reasons that you and I and 99.9 percent of Americans could give two tosses about.

Could be they are wanting to stop basing oil in USD. Very ugly very fast if they do switch to another currency or even a gold standard.
