From the folks who brought you "Creepy Uncle Sam" they're at it again.

'Creepy Uncle Sam' returns! Will Halloween ad scare Millennials off Obamacare?

Creepy Uncle Sam is back! And this time, he’s starring in a Halloween-themed spooktacular that’s meant to scare young adults away from enrolling in Obamacare.

Oh, you’re not familiar with Creepy Uncle Sam’s body of work? We’ll step back a bit and fill you in: He’s an actor who wears an Uncle Sam suit and an oversize, grinning head that makes him look like a freaky, patriotic garden gnome. The character is a creation of Generation Opportunity, a conservative political activist group aimed at the Millennial Generation.

just for some reference though
Generation Opportunity is (of course a Koch front company.
Some info
Basically, the OPT out is quite simple
Don't buy insurance, pay the fine, and you will save a bit of money..granted, you won't have health insurance, but hey, erm...progress?..yeah, progress...or something

I am not sure this commercial however depicts the proper audience, the guy actually gave candy to the trick-or-treaters...that's redistribution..Koch opposes that. damn socialist kids and their terror tactic candy grabs comin for your sweeties.

Amusing commercial mind you, but I think it will only sway the people whom had no intention of getting it anyhow

America.

Land of the Fee.

There is still the freedom of choice, to opt out or not. Americans just have to pay for the privilege now.

That's pretty much the only reason for posting it. Actually it's quite crude as far as current propaganda methods go but always amusing to watch some beating an overly dead horse while overacting.

Anyways it's good to get something out of obamacare, even if it's a corny commercial. Someday maybe folks will go on YouTube and show their kids just how ridiculous some of this was.

Beez
Come to America, don't get insurance (or simply get born here and don't get insurance), then get in a accident or need some surgery.
Regardless of circumstance, once you get it done, and you fail to pay due to no insurance, that then gets paid by the taxpayers.
As a conservative, are you perfectly happy with paying the much higher cost emergency care to the individual that oped out?

Once you answer that, explain to me what your interpretation of conservatism is and its main fiscal goals...keep in mind while typing it that you are arguing that you should be set with the bill of those whom cannot or will not pay their own bill.

Then finally, tear up your "I am a conservative" sticker once you realize your arguing against sound fiscal conservatism in favor of...blordieblurp

the individual mandate was a "contract with(on) America" conservative idea from the 90s to oppose Hillarycare and her single payer system idea..it is a page directly out of the gop book, hense why liberals don't like Obamacare (it has no single payer system..it is a conservative policy)..conservatives oppose obamacare not because of any reasonable principle..it is all about who is presenting it.
if in 2017, a conservative sits in office, he will rename Obamacare, change some very minor things, and conservatives will cheer.
At least Liberals will be consistant and still not like it.

Mad Max rules are not an option here. this isn't Somolia..Government must and will do something about healthcare. Does it -really- matter what party is attached to it? for most in the world, its a no..for many in the US, it is yes..because we are nuts.

The attempt to tackle the healthcare issue was done incorrectly. (In my humble opinion)

Instead of looking at ways to pay for the high costs, why not look at why costs are so high and look at ways of reducing costs?

It's a cluster-farge right now and doesn't look to getting any better.

I have enjoyed the Creepy Uncle Sam commercials...the Halloween one I found particularly amusing...you can't even "unplug" from BIG US GOVT...It'll find you (but not any of this 11 million illegals); and thanks to the IRS and NSA they ALREADY know all about you...

ObamaCare is hideous. Rather than insuring (or offering to insure) those w/o insurance, EVERY American now MUST have insurance that HHS/IRS etc deems "viable" (whether you can afford it or not). The decision of what type of insurance, having an HSA, GONE. "Compliance" w/govt alphabet agencies is ALL that matters. We "lost" our employer sponsored plan; was shifted to a "compliant" insurance company...almost $400 more per month OUT of pocket along w/higher copays on prescriptions, office, med express clinic and ER. Also a higher out of pocket deductible on hospitalization. In a specific network (hello new drs!). Where is the $ coming from for my family
to maintain coverage? We DON'T HAVE THE INSURANCE THAT WE COULD AFFORD after 1/1/14!!!

Thanks Obama...and FOR REAL thanks to those who PRODUCE these videos--SPEAK TRUTH TO THE POWER!!! Use their Alinsky tactics against them! Isolate, expose, ridicule!

Wait til AFTER the 1st of the year...those initial pay stubs are going to cause some tremendous financial damage.

Even for the now infamous "low information voters" the Obama's "if you like your plan you can keep your plan" and "if you like your Doctor you can keep your doctor" are LIES!!! Outright, bald face LIES!!!

This is BIG govt TELLING you what YOU must buy. Or else.

What ever happened to "CHOICE?"

Beezer, is that you? I hardly recognized you, I was wondering where you went to.

I am with you, it was done up entirely the wrong way. I was 100% for health care insurance for Americans. But I thought it should have been voluntary and a large group should get you good rates. Plus I really don't think those humongous subsidies are right either. Not unless they want to break the bank.

It won't get any better, our economy is toast.
