PLENTY TRUE.

Frightfully too true too often.

Again . . . however . . .

Extrinsics . . . AS A GROUP--statistically

behave very differently on such scores--horribly worse

than

Intrinsics . . . as a group--statistically.

Read my Unicorn and then Neptune threads.

No thanks.

I find your writing incomprehensibly obtuse and not at all worth the effort.

Some of use have better things to do next month than 'absorb' your thoughts about childish fantasies. That includes unicorns and gods.

As though you'd be the paragon example of graciousness

"taking it on the chin"

if you were attacked 1/10th as much as you attack Christians hereon?

LOLOLOLOLOL.

And no . . . I'm not mixing up TRUTH and FAITH at all.

I do assert that many levels of TRUTH require FAITH to reach even a shallow understanding of.

The notion that "GOD" is merely a human mangled construct of the last thousands of years is absurd to those with an authentic relationship with Almighty Father God, Yahweh . . .

RELATIONSHIP has always been HIS PURPOSE with mankind. Nothing else between man and Him cuts it, at all.

All else is noise.

. . . wouldn't even take one generation for you all to kill each other off.

Actually, the research is quite clear on such scores over the last 40 years.

It would be the "indiscriminately anti-religious*" (yes, that's a technical term from the research)

followed by a significant statistical margin by the Extrinsic religionists

who WOULD BE MOST LIKELY to shred each other and all around.

Hmmmmmmm "indiscriminately anti-religious" . . . I wonder who'd be most likely to fit that category like a glove . . .

ponder . . . ponder.

*"indiscriminately anti-religious" = those hostile to varying degrees to religion virtually on any and every level in virtually any and every context regarding virtually any and all expressions thereof.

YUP . . . ONLY

the indiscriminately anti-religious

are authorized to be chronically pushy with their cosmologies.

Any other orientation and particularly Christianity is to be trashed instantly if they demonstrate the least bit of assertive courage of backbone.

That word has 200,000 years of suffering, insanity and death baked into it.

If the mere act of discussing cancer would give you cancer.. then
I'd avoid the word cancer.

I'm not going to argue for suffering, insanity and death.

It also has many years of good deeds.

Who takes care of most of the homeless shelters?

Food banks?

Heating for the poor and other financial relief?

Who has cause countless lives to turn around and head in the positive direction?

I could go on and on. Man does terrible things sometimes in the name of God.

Man does much worse in the name of Greed.

Man when left without a moral guide will use this great excuse maker of a mind to hurt others without even knowing it.

For the major atrocities done in the name of God, that was caused by man's covetous nature, billions upon billions of good deeds are done on a day to day basis.

Followers of God?

Those that twist their deeds in the name of God pale in comparison to the good deeds done because of the love of God.

Do the Pagans feed the poor, house the poor, take people by the hand and guide them to a better life. How many Buddhists homeless shelters and food banks are out there. Hindu food banks? Voo doo Food bank of the dead? Hoo doo food bank of Detroit? Shaman food bank of the peyote? Are any other religious beliefs doing major operations to help those in need?

What is your beef against Christians?

Oops! You just showed your hand.

You hate men! Deep down inside you hate men because they hurt you.

How many were killed in the name of Dianna? If Goddess got as much traction as God then yes it would have been the same.

People kill mainly for gain. They use the word God as an excuse.

Hey LG,

Since you are PM'ing me nicely and asking me questions, I'll just
respond to this one post of yours that I happened to see.. I'm
not tracking this post.

I don't hate men.

I don't hate anyone.

I am a man. I said that on my intro post to ATS.. and I've said it
various times. I know some people think Kelly is a girl's name..
well my mother named me 'Sue' - so it's how it is..

I also do not 'hate Christianity' or Christians or really anyone..
with the possible exception of child rapists and similar
monsters. Even then, loathe and feel a bit sorry for is a
closer description .. even a bit of compassion.

I do find the attempt to find me sinister or inconsistent
or unloving in some manner a little tedious.. I'm sure
you'd find that a bit tedious if I was that way with you!

The only reason I'm responding on this one thread in this
series, is to provide information in case others are
also lacking information as you appear to be.

Love,

KPB

imho

The main hostility toward Christianity . . . masked usually under the wails about the inauthentic Extrinsic "Christians" . . .

is actually

hostility at the whole idea that there is a God who'd dare to tell the rebellious hedonists what to do and not do.

Heh. Yeah, you don't get it at all. Here, lemme help you out by quoting a post I made a while ago in another thread. It explains my feelings quite eloquently.

It always comes back to the absolute and eternal self-denigration and subjugation of mankind to a hypocritical psychopathic narcissistic egomaniac whose odious and pompous standards are the epitome of our existence, and whose greatest dream is to sit in the middle of our millions-deep mass and bask in our adoration and worship of him forever.

Yeah. I'm such a bad guy for rejecting that deal. I deserve to burn for eternity for having the audacity to cling to my self-respect.

I don't think you make a good psychologist

for Almighty God

at all.

His heart and nature are otherwise to the max.

However, I can't imagine any narration or set of facts that would influence you to understand that.

I made a post about how words get all these connotations
added onto them.. that bloats a simple concept, and turns
it into a monster.

I myself said nothing negative or judgmental about God
or God's followers.

And all this hate erupteted forth.

It makes me a little tearful.

I can't speak for Jesus, but there's one verse of the Bible
I can really appreciate; the shortest one:

Jesus wept.

You made a post to boycott the word God.
You gave us no reason for this action.
The word is a useful pointer as you use "oneness" others use "God".

KellyPrettyBearI also do not 'hate Christianity' or Christians or really anyone..

You do hate some and you accidentally associated Christians with child rapists and similar.
The associations between Christians and the word {your personal history of being caught between desire and fear (of hell)} was also in the thread.
Your idea of war being the result of the word God, in short YOUR minds meaning of the word are "horrific".

{True or real} Christians that embody love of others have not caused your suffering either.
It is hurtful for Christians to be threatened with the ( unfounded) loss of their symbol /pointer for God (the word). In most and at this time in this world fear creates anger, anger creates hate.
You sound suprised at the result of the boycott the word God thread.

Just pointing out your personal meaning for the word God includes all YOUR experiences and associations and then not suggesting a boycott would've been a more loving and understanding act.
I am truely sorry that you have been hurt in the past by people that have said they were Christians but then didn't act as Christians, real Christians seek to embody love & goodness. The people that started Wars over resource control and love of power were not Christians.
Peace and Love

Am I saying that if everyone gave up the word God, that
the world would be a much better place, and people
would have to find some other reason to hassle people
and be assholes?

Yes, that's what I'm saying.

Sticks and stones may break my bones but words...
*sigh*

Three letters, one syllable. Just a short sound uttered by a human.
Banning this word will, what? Make the woprld better? People less assholy?
LOL!

I'm sorry. I don't mean to be disrespectful or negative.

I'll shut up.

Other way around, buddy.

By your reckoning, then, early man knew that the seasons were caused by the axial tilt of the Earth before they thought that the yearly harvest was in response to the dying-and-rising of figures like Dumuzi, Attis, Osiris, or Persephone.

Do you have any evidence that confirms early man's understanding of the natural processes behind things like thunderstorms, floods, disease, famine, drought, and the cyclical sprouting and withering of crops before they began worshiping their gods?

I do not believe that early man perfectly understood the mechanics behind Nature before deciding to attribute such mysteries to deities. I still stand behind our fear of Nature having lead us to deify Nature, and our deification of Nature having inspired us to study and understand the deities we were now placating with libations, lustrations, rituals, and sacrifices, which lead to us discovering less mystical, and more scientific explanations.
