Liberalism always falls down upon itself because it's policies are unsustainable - Rush Limbaugh.

You think it's fine for people to have to pay for those who don't have any insurance, but go to the hospital for treatment when they need it? FYI - THTAT'S involuntary participation. Now though, the amount we all pay will be less. I appreciate that many people don't think what I'm saying is accurate. I don't appreciate all of the horror stories the GOP/'Grass Roots orgs/FOX pundits are spinning. Those screaming the loudest, (the GOP/The Bought-And-Paid-For FOX 'analysts', etc), are those who stand to lose the most money. When Medicare was introduced there vwere PLENTY of problems too. Now it's a sacred cow. The ACA will be the same thing. We'll talk again in 10 years.

We told everyone so.

It should be implemented as it was passed. This changing of little things by the Tyrant 0bama and buddies just shows how horrible it is.

No Republican should vote on any changing of it. Put it in place as it was passed as law and allow the full hurt to begin.

All the changing crap does is boil the frog slowly.

A handful of members here told you all so.

A point I think some have trouble grasping is, Insurance companies are out to make a profit.

They are not benevolent organizations there to assist you, they are there to garner the top dollar they can with the least risk to themselves.

I was starting to think I was the only person in the world who knew that!

You also want to pray they are not in bed with the rest of the medical industry. If they are, it is indeed in their interest to make as many people sick as possible, as the money the insurance companies pay out would go straight to their mates...

I don't even want to harbor that notion, but I am afraid that in some cases that is true.

Don't you know that is what the HMO / PPO plans are all about. The hospitals, Medical Groups and Physicians join up so they get an agreed upon amount of payment. And an agreed upon block of patients that they see for the insurances, and they agree to treat within the guidelines of the plans. They face heavy penalties if they go over their allotted services. In otherwords, if you order more tests or procedures, or do unapproved services, it comes out of your, the providers, pockets. It is already happening and has been for years.

Defend it or attack it.....but don't quote Rush Limbaugh....once you do you lose credibility, and that is hard to get back.

You really haven't been paying attention, have you?

There are numerous stories out, from your highly "trusted" liberal rags stating costs are going up and people are being dropped.

But I guess we won't know the real savings, until everyone signs up and pays for it. What a joke.

The website issue personifies the Govt as a whole.

Yep, and I'm one of them. I've had coverage with Cigna since 2005 through my employer in the Virgin Islands. When Obamacare hit, Cigna refused to write in the islands anymore. Well, I take that back ... they are covering some individuals if there are 3 or more people in an office that needs coverage, but the premiums have more than doubled. Unfortunately, I'm the only one in my office that needs coverage, so I don't apply. Couldn't afford it anyway if my premiums go from $536 a month to over $1000. I received notification that my coverage would be up 12/31/13. I've tried to look at the Illinois Insurance Exchange, but, of course, it's tied to the Gov't website to see if any subsidies are available, and you know that ain't happening. I was really hopeful about this in the beginning, but now I'm just totally pissed off. What were the promises again? Oh yeah .... you can keep your present coverage, you can keep your doctors..... Yeah, right. I've struggled trying to pay this premium on my own for the last 4 years with no employer contribution, and now for the first time in 8 years, I'll be without insurance. Actually, I'm beyond pissed....

So...are you voting against the liars next time around?

“Socialized medicine is the keystone to the arch of the socialist state.”

Well, that clears everything up and simplifies it...doesn't it? That is why they fought for this so hard. Socialists. Given time...Dictators.

Plus they will not be allowed to smoke even on their unpaid breaks.

That's what health insurance is all about. Control. The fact that there are people out there who believe that they are forcing this upon us because they care about us terrifies me.

Once they have everyone under their "health insurance", they will have the power to dictate what you eat, how much you drink, what activities you are allowed to do, how much sleep you are required to have and much more. They could easily go as far as dictating when you are allowed to have sex, based on that it could make you tired and that could lead to you injuring yourself.

I would rather die than be subjected to this crap, let alone be forced to pay for it.

I'm prtty sure you know how socialized medicine works but oke i'll play along....We pay monthly fee, wich is far far less than US health insurance. It's all bout spending and every1 knows where the US spends most on instead of spending it on it's own people/social stability. That avatar of yours explains the problem very well

Oh, so I guess the term "free" has escaped you.

So, your way is not free. You pay for it, along with everyone else. You pay, in taxes for others to live.
Sounds very..............Collective.

I still can't get my head around this victorian style health care system in America.

I also can't get my head around why people are so against fair health care for all.

The price put on life by capitalism is the greatest crime ever committed by humanity.

Fair healthcare?
Oh, you mean mediocre health care for everyone. Yeah, no thanks.

Why should I be paying for everyone else?
