Police gun goes off at Chino school event; 3 students injured

Stupid cops!

Three students were injured after a police officer's gun went off during a visit to an elementary school Wednesday morning. The incident happened at an outdoor assembly recognizing "Red Ribbon Week" at Newman Elementary School in Chino.

Chino police are calling it an accidental discharge. According to police, the weapon was mounted to a police motorcycle that was on display.

Cops were at an elementary school for a drug awareness event.
3 kids with minor injuries.
Was it last month when a kid at a school pulled the trigger on a cops gun at a school event?

California cops seems to be showing wonderful weapon control...

perhaps we should start Barney Fifing them, one bullet and thats all they get so they better take care of it.

Sounds like an extension of Fast and Furious!

Have a cop park his motorcycle with his weapon on it, (seriously??? I never knew motorcycle cops secured their firearms on their scooters) so that an innocent and curious child can play with it until it goes of and injures people? This is most certainly the kind of anti gun program Feinstein and Bloomberg would approve of!

I am sure every criminal out there will also be very interested now in checking out every police scooter left unattended!!!

Accidental discharge? No, it's negligent discharge. Either the gun wasn't mounted properly/being handled, or no one was keeping an eye on it. And whats makes this even worse, children were injured. That is unacceptable for a police officer. You should learn firearm basics before you touch any gun, much less become an armed police officer.

That's it! There's just too much gun violence going on in the world today. Its time to ban ALL GUNS.


At least for those too irresponsible to handle them safely. People are WAY more likely to get shot by a cop anymore than by a criminal or a lawful gun owner.

Time to take their guns away and make them like the Bobbies who were so successful in keeping the Brits safe for all those years.

And after Sandy Hook, and the theatre shooting, and the mall shooting, some of the public was actually asking for armed cops at the schools, malls, theatres, etc.

Doesn't help much if they can't look after their own weapons.
