Lots of ISON posts, but didn't find this nice green one.

Astrophotographer Adam Block captured this amazing image of the comet using a SBIG STX16803 CCD camera with a 32-inch Schulman Telescope Schulman Telescope atop Mount Lemmon from the University of Arizona’s SkyCenter on the morning of Oct. 8.

I thought because of the electric universe it is loaded with copper to burn green like that...who knows.

It isn't burning. Not unless there's a lot of oxygen out there.

It's releasing dust and ionized particles

Would you agree that it is an electric current?

That's a little vague.
Agree that what is an electric current?

I suppose the hydrogen bomb was just a theory then too, and they never actually tested one....those videos are just bad 1950's CGI.

Of course the Sun uses nuclear fusion, what ever would suggest to you that it doesn't???

What you said I understand not. Entirely incoherent, it was.

I'm not even going to watch that video.

You do know the whole electric universe theory is based on some "dodgy" research from the 1970's right?

It has been debunked so badly it is in bunk debt.

I apologise to the OP, thanks for posting the picture, I have been following the news on ISON since its discovery, and whilst it may not put on the show we were all expecting, it's nice to see the photos.

EDIT: LOL Phage at that last comment, cheers for the early morning chuckles.

You should try to watch this as it is very informative. Let's face it 200 years ago if you stated that the world was a sphere then they would nail you to a tree at set fire to it.

Are we not here to enquire?

This data completely debunks the "electric comet" nonsense...

Please stop turning almost every god-damn thread into a discussion about the EU.

(to the EU opponents like me and ngchunter: let them post their thing and leave them to it; it's useless trying to fight it, they won't change their mind about it)

~~~
On-topic: yeah, that's a great picture of ISON! I'm looking forward to even better ones as the comet gets closer to the Sun. By the way, that's one of the tidiest, streamlined comet tails I've seen. The comet looks nice and neat.
