Imo. we should dump this Water into the Ocean,
i do not welcome it but it is a better Solution
than keep the filtered and concentrated Water in this Tanks!

Concentrated radioactive waste you mean. They already do that.

They call it leaking though, not dumping. Sounds better that way.

You must know thal ALPS is cleaning the Water from nearly all
Radioactivity (>99%) and only Tritium and afair Strontium remain!

ALPS :
Multi-Nuclides:

So your solution to pollution is ... dilution - yes?

Do you have children?

I'm interested in your reaction ...

In my Opinion it is better to get rid of this Waste than keeping it in this
Tanks for 20 years and longer and as i wrote i do not welcome such a
"Emergency Solution" but it is stupid in a Risk Estimation to keep this
Stuff on Land, there are much more urgent Problems than this Waste,
by the Way it is very, very common to dump Tritium in all nuclear
Power Plants all around the World , in the US and Canada
it is even that bad that you find it already in the Drinking Water!

The US Nuclear Regulatory Commission states that in normal operation in 2003, 56 pressurized water reactors released 40,600 curies (1.50 PBq) of tritium (maximum: 2,080; minimum: 0.1; average: 725) and 24 boiling water reactors released 665 curies (24.6 TBq) (maximum: 174; minimum: 0; average: 27.7), in liquid effluents.[23]

I'm shaking my head as I read your response.

Because the US nuclear regulatory agency makes a statement suggesting "all's O.K.", you would tend to believe them.

Unreal.

And , obviously we have no problems with our fiscal irresponsibility either.

All is OK - just look the other way - 1.5 quadrillion in liabilities, but ignore reality, folks.

Have another pre- hyper-inflation coffee, and go about your business.

WTF??

I think i wrote that "i do not welcome it"?
This means that i am not happy about it, at least in my Language!

This contaminated but cleaned Water is Peanuts compared to the Emissions
in total and for this we need to look, the Tanks are just Cosmetics and many
People look and fall for this!

Yah, see? Its okay, everybody does it. Common misinformation tactic by pro nuclear lobby to compare some disaster with operating plants. Down plays the seriousness of an "accident". There is no comparison between Fukushima and working power plants.

"Clean" water, huh? Then why store it? Oh, its radioactive. And why suggest dumping it in the ocean? Oh, its radioactive.

I think the world would disagree with you there. Its Japans mess, they should own it. Its their problem. Dumping into the biosphere makes it someone else's problem, doesn't it? From Tepco with love.

They are doing it anyway, as_we_speak.

I believe I have a better way......

1. Bottle the water.
2. We can sell it to government officials around the world and our own as "special" drinking water.
3. Use the money generated and put it towards our National deficit.

We can make some money and rid the world of the people causing all these messes all at the same time.

The Solution must be based on the Danger,
there is no Danger to release the Water in small quantities
but there is a Danger when this Tanks break and Worker are close by.

This is not a Tree-hugging Festival with Wellness Atmosphere but a really
bad Situation!

Funny is that the suggestion to release the Water came from the
foreign Adviser and not from Tepco itself!

You need to decide what you want but Resin Picking is against the Rules!

Yes, its easier to keep it a secret that way.

There is no need to keep it secret, Japan is not the USA where it is common
to behave like a Thief!

There is no other Solution,
you can't keep this Stuff until Eternity in a protected Environment,
the Price we would pay will be much higher than dump it right away!

In the case you still have Ace upon your Sleeve, like a Super-secret Way,
now it is the right Time to play it, but No Ace - No Game!

I understand that all the measures to date are stop gap. Thats what happens when nuclear power fails. Tepco thought they could keep this "stuff" until eternity in spent fuel pools, too.

As far as dumping it, don't say "we". Its Japans property. "Dumping" it off onto others (in the ocean) would be worse than starting nuclear war. Yes the price you will pay is gong to be high. Why don't you take some and put in your basement? Set an example.

End of line here
