I quoted the Bible twice, once when I pointed out that when a whore was to be stoned (whores and Witches are very much the same thing, both are accused of using sex in their craft) Jesus stood in the way and said "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone".

Referencing a biblical story is not the same as quoting scripture.

Whores and witches are NOT the same thing. The Witch of Endor summoned the spirit of Samuel for King Saul. The woman who was accused of adultery was NOT being accused of witchcraft. She was being accused of having sex with a married man, who should have also been under the stone, as the Bible demands, but inexplicable wasn't.

A woman, or a man for that matter, isn't accused of witchcraft or sorcery because of sex. Sex doesn't equate witchcraft! If so, we'd all be witches and worlocks. The adulteress wasn't even a whore. She was just an adulteress. Mary Magdalene, on the other hand, was accused of being a whore, because she is said to have been a prostitute.

Also, it should be noted that Jesus was accused of witchcraft, sorcery and necromancy.

You cannot find one passage which promotes witch hunting

NOT ONE.

Exodus 22:18
“You shall not permit a sorceress to live.

Leviticus 20:27
“A man or a woman who is a medium or a necromancer shall surely be put to death. They shall be stoned with stones; their blood shall be upon them.”

Deuteronomy 18:9-12
“When you come into the land that the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominable practices of those nations. There shall not be found among you anyone who burns his son or his daughter as an offering, anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer or a charmer or a medium or a necromancer or one who inquires of the dead, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord. And because of these abominations the Lord your God is driving them out before you.

More on the biblical admonishment of witchcraft and sorcery here: www.openbible.info...

But it's hardly immoral to disallow birth control or contraception both of which are SO HARMFUL to women.

Birth control is NOT immoral. Child birth was the number one killer of women before the advent of conventional birth control! Disallowing birth control IS highly immoral!

My ex-girlfriend has Ovarian cysts now because of birth control.

Maybe, maybe not. Overian cysts occur naturally during menstrualtion and ovulation.

Ovarian Cysts Most Likely to Occur During Ovulation

Medical intervention may be necessary when ovarian cysts grow too large, burst or begin to cause pain for any reason. Ovarian cysts often occur during childbearing years, and these cysts are usually benign.
.......
Functional cysts comprise the most commonly occurring cysts, and they usually form during the menstrual cycle. Follicle cysts grow when the sac fails to break open and release the egg. These cysts generally go away within a few months.
www.foxnews.com...

So are you promoting female genital cancer because of medication? Is that what you are? Some female genital mutilator?

Ah, Jeeeez! Do a little research before making such claims!

Oral contraceptive use has consistently been found to be associated with a reduced risk of ovarian cancer. In a 1992 analysis of 20 studies, researchers found that the longer a woman used oral contraceptives the more her risk of ovarian cancer decreased. The risk decreased by 10 to 12 percent after 1 year of use and by approximately 50 percent after 5 years of use.
www.cancer.gov...

Nuns should be offered the contraceptive pill, on health grounds, since it would cut their risk of getting cancer, according to a study in The Lancet.

The vow of chastity taken by the world's 95,000 Catholic nuns carries with it an increased risk of breast, ovarian and uterine cancers – all of which are more common in women who do not have children.

It is a problem that has been recognized for hundreds of years. In 1713, Italian physician Bernadino Ramazzini reported nuns had extremely high rates of the "accursed pest," breast cancer.

The truth hurts, huh? Pregnancy is more of a health risk than birth control. FACT! Even abortion is safer than pregnancy! FACT!

The risk of death associated with a full-term pregnancy and delivery is 8.8 deaths per 100,000, while the risk of death linked to legal abortion is 0.6 deaths per 100,000 women, according to the study. That means a woman carrying a baby to term is 14 times more likely to die than a woman who chooses to have a legal abortion, the study finds.

"Whores" are prostitutes, not witches. A lot of people were supposed to be stoned according to the Bible, including witches!

Witches and warlocks are people who uses sorcery, divination, charms, spells, incantations, summons spirits and/or uses herbal "magic".

Witchcraft is defined in malleus maleficarum. Not in the Bible.

Of course witchcraft is in the Bible! What about the Witch of Endor?

Full Definition of WITCHCRAFT

1
a : the use of sorcery or magic
b : communication with the devil or with a familiar
2
: an irresistible influence or fascination

Synonyms
bewitchery, bewitchment, conjuring, devilry (or deviltry), diablerie, enchantment, ensorcellment, mojo, necromancy, sorcery, thaumaturgy, voodooism, magic, witchery, wizardry

1 Samuel 28
Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and enquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman that hath a familiar spirit at Endor.

8 And Saul disguised himself, and put on other raiment, and he went, and two men with him, and they came to the woman by night: and he said, I pray thee, divine unto me by the familiar spirit, and bring me him up, whom I shall name unto thee.

Yes, it is. We already knew you were full of crap, though, so it is not a great revelation.

Duh

Like many illnesses, if it weren't for modern medicine, pregnancy would end in death a lot more. It certainly did until the last 70 years, where maternal death was pretty common in the western world. It is still a very risky, dangerous condition in underdeveloped countries.

www.womenshealth.gov...
www.medicinenet.com...

Even in developed countries, risks and problems associated with pregnancy and childbirth: (that are pretty common, actually)

1. Lowered immunity
2. Raised blood pressure
3. Increased risk of cervical cancer
4. Gestational diabetes
5. Hemorrhoids
6. Anemia and other nutritional deficiencies
7. Back problems
8. Prolapsed uterus
9. Fistulas
10. Severe bleeding
11. Vaginal infections
12. Nausea and vomiting b
13. Increased risk of cervical cancer
14. Depression
15. Decreased bone density
16. Dental problems

This is just a small sampling of problems that can pop up in pregnancy directly related to being pregnant. I co9uld go on and on. The side effects and risks of birth control and even abortion are far less than those of pregnancy.

Of course, it is no surprise you being incapable of grasping this, being a male conservative who is incapable of seeing beyond your narrow, blinkered worldview, who can't seem to grasp the fact that the world is not black or white, and female anatomy is a lot more complicated than you seem to be capable of understanding.

Interesting you claim birth control pills cause ovarian cycts in your ex, since birth control pills are what are actually prescribed to get rid of ovarian cysts, endometriosis, menstrual disorders, ect. Though I myself do not use birth control pills, I have been given them in the past for excessive menstruation.

It's people like that make mandatory reproductive education in schools an increasingly attractive idea.

15. Stretch marks

Human's are not machines. The "normal" gestation period for a human is 38-42 weeks.

And shes claiming she didn't know she was 9 months pregnant? Mayhaps there is some guilt here?
While not common, there are women who have given birth without knowledge of actually being pregnant. Weird as it sounds, it happens.

It would be prudent to also highlight that there are known side-effects of contraceptives that are well known too. Just highlighting what you think is good, without showing the cons/pros of your side doesn't make your argument any stronger.

Dangerous Side of Birth Control

Higher risk of blood-clots is one keep "side" effect of birth control that has been widely exhibited in women according to the above. 10 in 10,000 getting some form of blood-clot due to birth control regiment is not a good number considering maternal mortality is at or around 15 per 100,000 for the United States. That is just my opinion though. I am married to a woman who does not believe she needs to alter her natural state of her body to avoid pregnancy or "heavy" flow as she has.

I was responding to a post that already made a list of side effects from birth control (some questionable). I was providing the counterpoint.

Yes, birth control has side effects and risks, but pregnancy and childbirth have more, which was the point of the argument.

Birth control, like any medical issue, is a personal choice. Some women don't like it, some do. It has different effects on different women. Some women do wish to alter their cycles, some don't. It's all down to personal choice, one that should not be denied any female, especially when it comes to preventing unwanted, dangerous, or abnormal pregnancies.

Considering I transport and see a lot more women in the ER for Pulmonary Embolisms related to Birth Control than I do for women related to any issues regarding Pregnancy I just have to disagree based on the sheer anecdotal evidence alone.

And deaths related to pregnancies were almost entirely due to blood loss, nothing more...hardly "infections" or "hormonal imbalances" leading to tumors and all the weird stuff birth control causes.

OH! So now you're a medical specialist in pulmonary embolisms related to birth control?

Pulmonary embolism

Surgery
Surgery is one of the leading causes of problem blood clots, especially joint replacements of the hip and knee. During the preparation of the bones for the artificial joints, tissue debris may enter the bloodstream and help cause a clot. Simply being immobile during any type of surgery can lead to the formation of clots. The risk increases with the length of time you are under general anesthesia.

Medical conditions
You may be more likely to develop blood clots with these conditions:

Heart disease. High blood pressure and cardiovascular disease make clot formation more likely.

Pregnancy. The weight of the baby pressing on veins in the pelvis can slow blood return from the legs. Clots are more likely to form when blood slows or pools.

Cancer. Certain cancers — especially pancreatic, ovarian and lung cancers — can increase levels of substances that help blood clot, and chemotherapy further increases the risk. Women with a history of breast cancer who are taking tamoxifen or raloxifene also are at higher risk of blood clots.
Previous blood clots. If you've experienced DVT or VTE in the past — for any reason — you're at increased risk of developing the condition again.

Age
Older people are at higher risk of developing clots. Factors include:

Valve malfunction. Tiny valves located every few inches within your larger veins keep your blood moving in the right direction. However, these valves tend to degrade with age. When they don't work properly, blood pools and sometimes forms clots.
Dehydration. Older people are at higher risk of dehydration, which may thicken the blood and make clots more likely.
Medical problems. Older people are also more likely to have medical problems that expose them to independent risk factors for clots — such as joint replacement surgery, cancer or heart disease.

Family history
You're at higher risk of experiencing future clots if you or any of your family members have had blood clots in the past. This may be due to inherited disorders of clotting that can be measured in specialty clotting labs. Be sure that your doctor knows about your family history so that appropriate tests can be done to check for an inherited clotting disorder.

And finally:

Lifestyle
Certain lifestyle factors increase your risk of blood clots, including:

Smoking. For reasons that aren't well understood, tobacco use predisposes some people to blood clot formation, especially when combined with other risk factors.
Being overweight. Excess weight increases the risk of blood clots — particularly in women who smoke or have high blood pressure.
Supplemental estrogen. The estrogen in birth control pills and in hormone replacement therapy can increase clotting factors in your blood, especially if you smoke or are overweight.
www.mayoclinic.com...=risk-factors

So birth control is NOT a leading cause of pulmonary embolisms!

So birth control is NOT a leading cause of pulmonary embolisms!

It's so kind of you to go barking around and find mayoclinic's web article on the theories of smoking related health problems.

Or you can just go to the stated FDA's and drugs manufacturers health risks of Birth Control themselves, and put two and two together. Young women, smoking or not have Pulmonary Embolisms, they are on birth control, as a paramedic our first question for symptoms of PE on a young woman isn't, DO YOU SMOKE?

It's

ARE YOU ON BIRTH CONTROL.

So yes, more of an expert than you.

And what I mean by that is a yes means they are very likely having a PE.

Don't paramedics always ask what prescription drugs a person has taken, including birth control!

Also, paramedics aren't doctors and don't have to have that much medical education. They certainly aren't trained in birth control and contraception and other OB/GYN expertise.

I'm having a hard believing that you're actually a paramedic, given your ignorance and denial on the subject of birth control and woman's issues, and given your stance that it's okay to outlaw it and woman's rights to reproductive choices, seemingly.

No, depends on what is warranted. If a person doesnt disclose they are on birth control and its not pertinent the question wont ask about birth control, in general (different for each jurisdiction).

But with PE possibility with young woman it is a pertinent question becaise of the known risk.

THe downplay that it is exacerbated by smoking is a smoke screen by drug companies pushing their birth control. Cuz they dont advise that in medical protocols per se.

What you deem ignorance is really insider knowledge.

Bet you didnt know every hospital has a doctor whose malpractice kills people and they still employ them by tenure.

Ever heard of HODAD?

And just to be clear I am hypothesizing why they demonize smoking with birth control.

But the protocols dont say the smoking is pertinent with the birth control.
