The American Nightmare.

It's 2014, and the night has grown meek with the fresh smell of blood on the pavement. The gunshot still smoking in the back where the bullet ripped through. It's ok, the person was just looking for food. DHS just took him out because times had changed. The US economy not only collapsed, it #ing melted down into a big hellish mess.

Lot's of people were caught unprepared. After all, there was fat EBT checks in the bank bringing in all sorts of fat government cheeze. Who'd ever thing that this free ride would end? That it was going no where fast? It wasn't like this was the 1930's all over again was it? I mean, the economy was the best it had ever been? Sure there were a few bumps in the road but as long as I had my EBT no one could stop me.

At least, that is what this jackass thought just before DHS put two rounds in his back for ripping off another Fema prisoner. Not enough food to go around in those camps see. The government was out of money but then knew it well in advanced that it was going to get there eventually. So they built camps. Lot's and lot's of lovely little Fema camps to russel in all the starving American's they could find.

There was no more EBT. That ride was over. The economy was gone, so was the entire country. It was like a warzone. Civil war had broken out, not everyone agreed with the powers that be that they would be so easily taken into those camps. They were prepared too. Stocked up on guns and ammunition. That 2nd amendment right was in full furver.

Until the drone strikes hit. Just a few at first which really got the people running in the streets. And what a better place to strike? After all, Iraq and Afghanistan was just a testing ground for these new weapons. Sure, the politicians claimed they would never be used on American citizens. That was so 2012. This was 2014 and the riots, looting and martial law just upped the Government's game.

After all, they already used many methods to kill American civilians over the years. The prison system was a great learning school for the police state. Why have small little prison's when you can run the country like one? The drone strikes kept coming.

There was no stopping them. Bullets were useless. The civil war wasn't like the good ol' days. The rules of warfare had changed and any moron with a gun thought they could take on a fascist tyrannical government up until the drones flash-fried his ass with a hellfire missile from 3 miles away.

No one said 2014 was going to be fun. This isn't the American Dream, it's the #ing American Nightmare and you are living in it buddy. You know, never thought you'd end up in one of those Fema camps, hungry and starving like the Jews back in Hitler's Auschwitz. This is the real world, that # just don't happen?

Governments love their people, they never commit Democide! It could never happen to the USA right? The land of the free? The land who fought blood and tooth against Adolf Hitler in WWII. Times have changed. The game is different but the way it's played is till the same.

Didn't think it could happen. Thought all those people who warned you were tin-foil hat conspiracy freeks hanging out on some ATS forum in the dredges of the Internet. Well. How does it feel to be wrong. That Fema prisoner who you watched die was your Father. He was trying to get you food, you weren't looking so well these days. The hunger and starvation wasn't fun.

It down right sucked. But no looking back, your time to act and do something came in went and you chose to read short stories on ATS. Look where that got you.
