Is it that time already? Yup time for another update. But maybe I should save the best part for last.

For the first bit of news, Donald Berwick, who administered the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in 2010 and 2011, says the site failed because they didn't have enough money to build it from the start. Lets see now, 93.7 million and it wasn't enough? Well you know how the government works. If you don't succeed, just throw more money at the project.

Oh and there will be a house hearing on October 24th, and they have asked Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius to attend.

Ok now, time for the good stuff. It appears that the CGI folks that built the Obamacare website are a tidge over stressed and exhausted. Like Obamacare hasn't screwed up enough already?

"There's been a lot of agitation and anger, because CGI really prides itself on having family flexibility

"There's a lot of frustration," the staffer said. "People are getting sick, fainting in conference calls."

Yeah we are sick over this just as much as you are buddies.

I suppose this thread is also needed to counter the propaganda. So far only 2 people have been found in Florida that signed up for Obamacare. But afterwards, both were found to be Democratic political operatives.

The only two Floridians who claim to have successfully enrolled in Obamacare are Democratic political operatives, a Media Trackers Florida investigation reveals.

The Orlando Sentinel is the only media outlet that has found a person who claims to have successfully obtained Obamacare insurance. The Sentinel reports that Valencia College student Daniel McNaughton claims to have obtained insurance on the exchange. A pro-Obamacare liberal advocacy group, Florida CHAIN, claims a second person, 24-year-old college student Vincent Mutia, also signed up for Obamacare on the federal government website.

What the Sentinel either failed to discover, or decided not to mention, is that McNaughton is a former Democratic Party political operative.

Mutia’s LinkedIn page reveals similar experience as a Democratic Party operative. Mutia’s page reveals he spent much of 2012 working for Obama for America. He spent the summer as an “Organizing Fellow,” directing and organizing volunteers to register people to vote for Barack Obama. In the fall, he was promoted to “Deputy Field Organizer,” directing voter registration and voter turnout efforts

How many people here have heard about the Life Lock identity theft protection advertised on the radio? You may want to sign up BEFORE you have anything to do with Obamacare. So when everyone's identity goes wayward, remember, you heard it here first. Que fog horn, we are getting closer...

This system will be rife with identity theft, especially since illegal immigrants and criminals have been hired as navigators.

The state of New York has designated the labor union front group Restaurant Opportunities Center of New York, or ROC-NY, as one of its navigator groups — basically authorized and paid-for community organizing for Obamacare. And guess who ROC-NY's lead is for its health program? Maria Marroquin, an illegal alien from Peru who's a DREAM activist. It would be hard to make up something this outrageous.

. Lawrence, Kansas's only navigator, Rosilyn Wells, has an outstanding warrant out for her arrest. But you can bet Marroquin, who has an arrest record of her own, isn't the only illegal alien to obtain this role. What especially compelling temptations will illegal alien navigators face when opportunities present themselves: steal someone's identity, tap into their Social Security or savings? The hiring of navigators and their assistants has been rushed, diffuse, and even politically suspicious.

The U.S. House Oversight Committee and Energy and Commerce Committee have launched investigations, and state attorneys general have likewise sounded the alarm. Energy and Commerce sent oversight letters to some of the 100-plus navigator organizations collecting $67 million. In its story on Ms. Wells, The Daily Caller cited one congressional committee's findings of the risk exposure to citizens:

Illegal Alien Heads Obamacare Navigator Program in NYC

Ok now for a little more insight into the groups that will be helping Americans navigate their way through this mess.. So it looks like Obama has brought politics into Obamacare. I already knew this but I thought it needed mention for those that may not be aware.

In a frightening glimpse of the potential for corruption in Obamacare, the government is giving dozens of leftist organizations $67 million to help people “navigate” health insurance exchanges that haven’t even been fully established.

The money will be divided between 105 mostly leftist groups (surprise, surprise) that will help the uninsured sign up for coverage and understand their options. Here are a few examples of the community organizations receiving navigator grants from the government; an Arizona nonprofit called “Campesinos Sin Fronteras” that provides services to farm workers and low-income Hispanics; a south Florida legal group that will provide navigators in “racially, ethnically, linguistically, culturally and socioeconomically diverse” communities; three Planned Parenthood branches—in Iowa, Montana and New Hampshire—got a combined $655,000 to serve as navigators.

The Arab Community Center in Michigan is getting nearly $300,000 to reach out to and engage uninsured community members through “multicultural” media.

Oh, and it automatically tried to enroll my children in medicaid. I know that we don't qualify because there are no serious health issues and we work and actually make a middle class income, but it sent the info to the State I live in automatically. That is going to wast time and money for my State to tell me we don't qualify because we work, and have insurance. I keep going back to check and see if I can actually see some plans to compare to my work insurance. Still nothing I've tried different browsers: IE is useless on the site, when you click enroll it sends you back to the beginning of the application process. Firefox and Chrome seem to do better but there are still no plans at the end to compare to what I have.

How awesome!
It isn't even up and run correctly, and we have criminals and illegals helping with it?

How about we just post all of our pertinent information on Facebook, or the like?
Hell, we might as well, it's going to be just as safe as this nightmare.

Thankfully, so far, our company is able to keep us out of this nightmare.

Obamacare is an interesting set of answers given to questions no major populace or voter group was actually asking - A stepping stone in the socialism direction which feeds even more into the bizarre idea that giving without end will somehow magically produce more givers than producers. Supporting those that can't support themselves, breeds the weakest kind of nation and society. Before Barry Hussein took over, the average person had to wake up in the morning and decide to be more and do more in order to be rewarded with a good job with benefits. They took away the carrot and added a great, big stick.

Now, not only do you not have to worry about being more and getting more by your own efforts, you now are going to be required to sign up for a broken system or be penalized. Think about it - The biggest proponents of free healthcare are already arguably the scourge of society - Contributing nothing and working towards nothing. So, they "win" and went from no insurance but for free, to mandated insurance that they pay for through taxes or fining. The stupidest kinds of people are being fleeced and they can't even wrap their welfare-minded brains around it for a second.
Welfare, soup kitchen and food stamps - All bird feeders and every ounce of it a complete waste of money. "Don't feed the bears" or the humans for the same damn reason.

The government can't run even the simplest things like congressional sessions and vacation scheduling, but yeah, good plan putting the largest social project in the US's history in their hands.

Capitalism and de-regulation are the answers. The government OVER-REGULATED the medical service industry to the point of absurdity and is solely responsible for the lack of competition and therefore absurd costs associated with healthcare.

The ACA is one piece of the bomb-vest worn by the lunatic left and their historically proven, broken ideology that anyone on their planet is "owed" anything.

They call the GOP "terrorists" - Yet there is no evidence that they hold, whatsoever, that the GOP is operating on any new level that hasn't already been proven to be effect for over 237 years.

Progressives are anti-progress in nature. Nothing, anywhere, ever in nature supports the cancerous and weak of a species - It cuts it off or outruns it when the lions come to feast. Making the strongest the priority only makes logical sense.

"Life sucks, get a helmet" - Dennis Leery

Great! This will scare folks away even more. Nothing like the threat of losing money to make folks disappear. Lol..

Yo is that an iceberg in the distance? Nahh... Continue onward my friend.

Note, this report may not be accurate. I thought this was supposed to be a part of taxes? Oh well, we will find out if there are any others. But until then, I will reserve judgment on this. Either way rumor will still scare off some folks.

They could sell off the United States assets to China and its future revenues to the private banking sector in exchange for a couple decades of functional Obamacare.....

Yeah, I see that, as the thread goes on, but really, who knows? Just like all the claims of success, by people that turn out to be in the Obama camp. LOL
Just thought it should be here, if it does turn out to be true, you know, a stick on the bonfire!

But as a side note, I tried originally, to see what I would have to pay on the website. I couldn't get through at the time, and then had a feeling that maybe I shouldn't try again. Just didn't think it would be a good idea for them to have all my info, even if I wasn't signing up.
I wonder how many people that did get through and were "just checking" regret it now?

While I think real, honest affordable healthcare should be made available to everyone -- from what I've seen/read Obamacare seems to be designed to fail.

It will certainly be interesting in the next months to see how this all plays out...

S&F, I'll be following the sinking along with everyone else!

I have to agree with you on this.

For the life of me I have read, and reread ACA. It looked like a mess and a failure from the start and I truly think that it was designed to create more chaos.

Bettcha a million dollars they have a solution to this problem and it will pop up shortly, then they the government can be everyone's hero's again.

The government creates nothing, they are the biggest consumers in the world.

What do they consume? our sweat equity and tax dollars.

Well, I read about a person turning in fictionous info to check rates. Lightbulb, what if we overwhelmed the system with Micky, Daffy, and Donald registrations?
Just kidding since the site is overwhelmed without us.

Just got a text message from my grandmother. Just one of the several drugs she needs has gone up from $9 to $45 dollars. That's one more medication she's going to have to cut out amongst the others she's already done without. Seeing that she's on a very fixed income, this is bad news.

I'm not sure if this is due to the ACA, but all her medication has cost her roughly the same for quite a few years.

I feel that it was associated. You see, Obamacare will affect the US in more ways than imagined. The price of everything we purchase will go up.

Here is one example. A major healthcare system in my area has increased compliance fees to the tune of 6 million dollars a year. And this does not cover the unforeseen future costs that they are cautiously concerned with.

Just a note, although the intent of this thread is to inform on the shortcomings of a product, so we can reform it early on and before it causes catastrophic issues, we are now located in the Political Rivalry Forum. Democrats, Independents and republicans are all invited here to share their information or catch up peacefully irregardless of the forum it is located in.

It is also my intention to provide 100% truthful information as best as I am capable. So if I suspect something is not truthful, you will not find it here. Well at least posted by me. I always look for multiple sources for everything. If you noticed earlier on, I mentioned that the costs of the website was in the 90 million range (the initial costs), while elsewhere you may see the 600 million range. The reason for this discrepancy is that the 600 million figure includes other government projects from the same company. Yes the website has cost more than 90 million, but the true final number has not been formally established. So until then, I will not report the secondary number that I do have until it is confirmed. Although I do not like the product, I promise that I will not report what I feel to be lies.

I see obamacare going down one way or the other, but I'm waiting for those anonymous hackers to hack into the website and upload a fatal virus into it and bring it all crashing down, remember I predicted it first, lol. So hackers that belong to that organization , get to work , I need a good laugh.

According to the congressional budget office, Obamacare needs 7 million people to sign up to remain viable.

The first weeks sign up rate as reported by the UK Daily Mail, was fifty one thousand.

The Obamacare implosion is worse than you think

I'll tackle that to some degree. My husband works for the root of all Ebil. Yep, he works in the pharma industry albeit peripherally in animal pharma, but his job is to deal with USDA regs and how they impact the development of existing and new vaccines and medications the company wants to produce and sell. His company is also one that sells globally to many markets.

The costs imposed by the regulatory burden are huge, and the hoops that must be jumped through in order to bring a new product to market are also enormous. By the time a new product is ready to go, those two things have helped to set a final price which is reflected in the final price point. The company only has so long before patents run out in order to recoup the costs of production and make a profit (I know that is a dirty word) but no one minds when companies like Apple do it and at far higher rates of percentage return (they do, look it up).

Now, you have to also consider the global market. Some countries like India and Australia are liable to create all kinds of production and regulatory hoops for a company to jump through to bring a product to market with patent and then, if the price point is too high, strip the patent and allow anyone to make knock-offs. This will raise the price everywhere else. Some countries with socialized medicine will force the company to sell the medication at deep, deep discount if the company wants to do any business at all. This raises the price everywhere else. And so on and so forth.

But we see this in a microcosm with our insurance rates and medical costs. The rates are high because we subsidize people who can't pay and we subsidize the government insurances of Medicare and Medicaid which chronically underpay market rates by at least 20% and sometimes upwards of 60%. Where do you think the differences get made up?

Effectively, we are paying out of pocket to subsidize the trade practices of countries like India and China and the socialized medicine practices of countries like Canada and Britain. And we're also subsidizing the development of new drugs, most of which is done by private drug companies in this nation. Obamacare threatens to shut that down though. The Big Pharma comapnies will likely move their operations elsewhere, but the cost of drugs won't drop because we'll become one of those nations employing dirty trade practices to secure access to meds, What we'll likely see here is either second or third tier meds or strict rationing.
