I think it's deep enough to not yield one, but I could be wrong. Either way, let's hope that there is no need, that area's been slapped around hard enough the last few days as it is (Philippines, now PNG)

I dont expect tsunami from this one personally.

The timing and location is odd to me for some reason, especially after yesterday.

Ring of fire needs to go back to sleep.

Is this a different one than the one in the Phillipines? I read on the other thread that there could be glitches on the USGS, especially as they happen, as the bright ones have yet to sanitize the data.

A couple 7+ quakes doesn't sound so show-pony and unicorny.

The earth is going to relieve its underlying pressure, if that's the case?< Will the west coast of North America feel the need to ease off its plates?

Yes, this one happened a little over an hour ago.

Not the same quake as yesterday.

This quake has also been slightly downgraded to a 6.8 by USGS.
