Im in a sales position in a major factory that actually used to produce firearms and ammo for WW1 and 2....Im just trying to find out if this may be used as an outlet to secure govt. contracts. If so, this link alone will be a major boost in my standings at my company.

Yes...

After the links I posted...are the things on the pages that I find to be obvious means of sending messages;

Message one

Weaponweaponweaponweapon

Message two

C: You are being contacted in regards to your application

Message three

F--You are being contacted in regards to your application
N00383CONTACTEDIN

The classification codes used in these reqs have NOTHING to do with soybean farming...
Message four:
F--Thrive will be out next week, Monday

Interesting...

Message to whom I wonder? Any thoughts?

Are you still tracking to see if there are further messages?

Checked out "thrive" online...

Could those Thrive kits be for schools? I remember reading that schools were supposed to have a 3 days emergency stock of food on hand.

It wouldn't just be for the kids because schools are often used as emergency shelters in times of crisis.

As for the John Does and weird phone numbers, could it be some one getting OJT and hit "send" when they shouldn't? I've seen it happen before with other things. Is there a way to rescind a requisition on the system?

OJT???
Doubt that.
They would have been trained at Camp Johnson MCSSS...it's the only place on the planet that trains people on this supply system.
You HAVE to pass with a grade average of 85% just to be given the clearance.
Civilians train along side military.

The thrive may be for the schools...
but why the cryptic req???
It should be more straightforward and have more info on it.

It's just not adding up.
I haven't been of FEDBIZOPPS yet today.

GLP banned my IP address after knocking my thread out of the database.
Not that I'm heartbroken about it or anything...

It's happened before on that forum with another thread of mine.
Another thread dealing with code.
I was onto something with that too.

www.fbo.gov...
Secret Internet Support???

SIPRnet has been around for a while. It is a secure network used for the transmission of TS info. It is completely separate from the internet and no connections to the internet are allowed.

If you do a search here on ATS you'll find a few threads where it's mentioned. Also, someone just posted something very recently (I actually thought it was in this thread) regarding a job application that needs to be filled out for um...something. Again, I thought it was here but don't have the time right now to review.

On a final note - I'm curious about your interest in the FEDBIZOPPS site. Do you normally monitor it for work or other reasons and then saw all of this anomalous/bizarre stuff? I'm trying to gauge how odd this stuff is...

Thanks.

Please tell me that google is down right now for you too?
I have full internet...but when I tried to google "Thrust Area"...it went down...
My phone has no wifi...
Neither does my BF's...

?
Anyway...yeah. I check it out from time to time.
I know what looks strange....or doesn't fit usual demand or yada yada yada.

I'm not interested in our overseas deployed guys...that stuff is need to know and I'm not about letting cats out of bags that could ever put any of my guys in jeopardy.

I'm interested in things that may affect the general population of CONUS.
That, and misspent money...

Well...seems like Yahoo is out for me too...

Please check for me...

Why would the navy be catching large rodents?
Sounded like infected rodents.
Are they ordering big nets. What do you catch rodents with?
Wouldn't they be hiring exterminators for this? Or the CDC if they're diseased

Is there a cruise ship that's full of sick patients about to come into port someplace? There's always rats on those things. That might run down the gangplank.
edit on 17-10-2013 by violet because: (no reason given)

Not rat 'traps', rat "cages"...they're not "catching large rodents", they are probably planning on experimenting on them - considering that the office requesting the cages is US Army Medical Research...

Here you go..

Double space in there. Also, irony for the domain name. It's for the Indian government

Nevermind, you get quite a few government sites. Interesting.

If you go to your link (above) and click the pdf. at "amendment 10 (or 12), the pdf. breaks down the overview of the 'req.' and details what the "Thrust" areas are...(oddly, the amendments after 12, do not 'detail' the Thrust Areas)

Basically the over-all project is looking for scientists and scientific institutions to study/'invent' various means of 'defeating' WMD's...each "Thrust Area" (there's six of them) represents a particular field of interest, which 'interested parties' can choose in seeking to apply for a contract under this req.

Okay,
So my internet is back up now...

There are four computer savvy people trying to wrap their heads around what just happened.

I will think critically about this situation and chalk it up to ... I have no idea.

I'm poking bears...apparantly.

Six different areas...you don't say.
Hmmmm...gears are turning...
This may relate to another thread I have...about SEO's.
Thank you for this post.
I really appreciate everyone's interest.
I will be checking into this pdf tonight.
