2.Why are you blaming the GOP when Obama is not negotiating AT ALL, in addition, if the American people don't want Obamacare, and the GOP is trying to defund it, are you saying Obama should go against the will of the people?

edit on 12-10-2013 by kx12x because: (no reason given)

Well, the Tea Party and GOP people are the ones that started the government shut down. As much as you'd like to try and reverse the blame back onto the president, it doesn't work. What I am hearing is, "Obama's administration is FORCING us to shut down the government! It's not OUR fault, he's MAKING US shut it down!"

It's a simple reverse psychological tactic, and a thinly veiled one at that.

That is like a raping someone, and then claiming that the victim forced them to do it. "They should have known better, they were asking for it ..."

Or, it's akin to holding a class room hostage and claiming that the police outside are forcing you to take hostages.

Nope, sorry -- you chose to take hostages first. The GOP and the Tea Party made the first move in terms of shuttering the government. The ONUS isn't on Obama to cave, it's on the 30-40 so people in congress holding everyone hostage to come out with their hands up.

HELLO?

Does the Tea party want to deliberately crash the U.S. economy?

Ineptocracy: A system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

Blaming the tea party for a mess that goes back decades is ridiculous.

Bush’s way was simply a different version of Obama’s way. Bush inherited and maintained, even expanded, Big Government. He lowered taxes a little, only temporarily. However, under his watch federal regulations went up, not down—just as they always do. Under his watch, government committed trillions more of future dollars into the Medicare prescription drug program. Under Bush’s watch, the federal government expanded its role, and spent billions more, on socialized education, popularly and fondly known as public schools. Under Bush’s watch, the federal government continued the policy of the liberal Democratic Clinton Administration, to use government manipulation and regulation of the marketplace to ensure that everybody got an easy mortgage—ultimately leading to the mortgage industry’s collapse, when those mortgages could not be paid back.

Obama outright declares class warfare. He’s open and unapologetic about it. He says, in essence, “Some people make too much money. It’s THEIR fault that you suffer.” He has created such a bad situation in this country psychologically that production finds itself both unwilling, and unable, to really soar again.

Yes, the TP is deliberately holding the USA,it's citizens
it's gov workers, and it's credit rating hostage.

If the 120+ replies say anything else, it's a some dreamed up excuse.

Why do we take exception to the debt ceiling since 2010 ?
We've had it for all the other Presidents and Congress.
It was non issue until Obama.

What's different now?
I wonder....

Because we have the highest level of debt that we have ever had in our existence perhaps?

Maybe the fact that Obamacare sticks it to the general public and the boys in the ivory tower get exempt!!!!!

The latest proposal from the Republicans is to make everyone get Obamacare and exempt taxes on medical devices for two years.....thats it!!!!!

You bitch about the situation, but you don't comment on the facts! Why should anyone get an exception???? If its the law....its the law for everyone....right????

Either you don't know the issues or your a shill.

Well, it is a thinly veiled psychological tactic, but coming from the administration and the leftist media.

THe house has the duty and responsibility to be fiscally responsible. They would not give the administration a blank check...they want to reign in spending and debt. The left wants a blank check so they can continue spending and spending. The house would not give them a blank check but passed bill after bill that funded essential government programs and obligations. The administration and the Democratic senate stopped all of them because they want it all or nothing in a political tantrum. The administration actually has been spending more to seal off parks and monuments than they would if they simply left them open in another political tantrum and power play. They wanted a government shutdown because they knew that the propaganda machine of the MSM would paint it all as the fault of the congress and, given by what we see here, the ploy is working.

All I've ever seen the Democrats do in my short time on this planet is blame everyone else for everything. When the Republicans control the government, it's the Republicans fault. When the Democrats control the government, it's the Republicans fault. When elections don't go how they want, it's the voters fault.

How about the Democrat controlled White House actually do something and resolve this issue? And while they're at it they can put a BOLO out for Biden. He's been MIA for months now.

Well, the Tea Party and GOP people are the ones that started the government shut down.

Actually after 16 attempts to compromise by the Republicans and not even one, NOT ONE counterproposal from the Democrats, I'd say the Democrats caused the shutdown..

As much as you'd like to try and reverse the blame back onto the president, it doesn't work. What I am hearing is, "Obama's administration is FORCING us to shut down the government! It's not OUR fault, he's MAKING US shut it down!"

I haven't heard anyone say it's Obama's fault even though they should.. Everyone has been justifiably pissed off at congress. Obama can't overstep congress so he cannot be fully blamed for the current situation but we can blame his nonexistence approach at the negotiating table primarily due to the Democrats inability to compromise AT ALL. They are a bunch of babies screaming NO CHANGES THIS WAY OR NO WAY.. Bunch of babies if you asked me.. AND I'M NOT EVEN REPUBLICAN..

It's a simple reverse psychological tactic, and a thinly veiled one at that.

Dude you are WAY OUT THERE man...

The democrats turned there backs with their arms crossed in a childish tantrum unwilling to negotiate ANYTHING. You should really try and step back and take an unbiased perspective. I'm an independant and make no allegiance to any party. The democrats are way more wrong in this case..

BS.

The healthcare was great in this country. People from all over the world come to America to receive care because of the skill of our specialists , the quality of our hospitals, and the cutting edge level of our treatments.

BS. I have been unable to walk or stand for more than 5 minutes for the past 6 months due to a back injury that isn't healing. I have no insurance, I cannot afford insurance, my job which I work at for more than 40 hours a week doesn't pay enough, as it is I'm lucky I can afford rent. I have no option for medical treatment unless it's an emergency (and if it is I have to show up without an ID so they can't find and bill me 3 years salary for a 5 minute visit). Care in this country sucks.

Your issue doesn't seem to be with the care you receive . . . it seems to be with the fact that you feel you shouldn't have to pay for it. Moreover, you're upset that your job doesn't pay you enough.

The "care" is just fine . . . you just can't afford it and don't want to have to pay for the doctors, nurses, and use of their equipment. So much so, you pretty much admit to fraud by claiming you go to the ER without any I.D., so they can't track you down later to recoup for the efforts of their labor.

That makes no sense. How does one want to destroy the Republic, democracy, and freedom by promoting a small Constitutional government that does not micromanage our lives and fiscal responsibility?

I wonder if these manipulators may not over play their hand.....the unemployed Chinese could be transformed into a formidable army......so large that even the wealth of the richest billionaire(s) might not be enough to afford them a safe haven from it's reach.

How do you figure that? We're being taxed WITHOUT REPRESENTATION. Have you noticed congress's approval rating of 5%? And just for the record I'm not a tea party member nor am I even a registered Republican..

By blackmailing Obama (who won the last elections) about defunding ACA. Majority of people vote for Obama , minority voted for Tea baggers . If they want to implement their policies, elections are next year .

The only blackmailing was when the Democrats forced everyone to vote on the AFA without being able to read it first.

And you forget that the majority of the people are now against Obamacare and voted for a House that was against it for that very reason and the House is doing the job they were voted to do. The House is made up of the representatives it has BECAUSE of an election, or did you forget that one?
