One thing seems to be sure when it comes to the rhetoric surrounding Obamacare, it's not getting any better. When it comes from a doctor like Ben Carson then I'll listen to them regardless of their point of view.

Dr. Ben Carson didn’t mince words: Obamacare is “the worst thing that has happened in this nation since slavery.”

Dr. Carson further compared the new health care reform to policies envisioned by Vladimir Lenin, one of the fathers of socialism and communism.

“Socialized medicine is the keystone in the establishment of a socialist state,”

I think we're already a long way down the road to the establishment of a socialist state but everyone's entitled to an opinion. While I don't agree with many other things he says I do agree with his sentiments on this.

THank God I live in the UK where EVERYBODy is entitled to FREE care at the point of service irrespective of their medical condition. No civilised society should allow any of it citizens to suffer due to health because their wallets are not fat enough. Totally immoral.

The US is sooooooooo backward on healthcare. Obamacare takes it from 1/10 to 2/10.

You are completely right.
Socialized healthcare is indentured servitude and an abomination to humanity.
No man has a "right" to another man's labour.
That said, just ignore the guy who posted above stating "where would America be without slavery".
They CLEARLY have "issues" which are best kept between patient and doctor.
The good part about this observation is once I arrive at home and find a cross burning on my front step...at LEAST I'll know who did it!

A lot more open, liberated, and less manipulated. One of the byproducts of slavery has lived on and continues to significantly shape the country is the racial division which it represented before, during, and after emancipation. That division *may* have never been available for use as a manipulative, divisive tool by the media and leftist chatterboxes had slavery never existed in America.

Less divisions equals more United, as in United States of America.

ETA: Applying this ideal to Obamacare, in another hundred years one could very well see Americans in poverty whose families were formerly middle class demanding reparations and being used as political pawns by one party all because policies like Obamacare saw their family's status as middle class erode while others benefitted from the fruits of their labors. (If being mandated to work and having your earned wealth redistributed so others can enjoy life without laboring isn't a modern definition of slavery, then what is?)

Before answering the obvious question of *how* ObamaCare or any form of socialized health care compares to slavery, first we might want to *explore* what the Lenin / Marx *Idealist Concepts* are in regards to:

“Socialized medicine is the keystone in the establishment of a socialist state,”

We also need to determine if this applies to Corporations as *The State*. Perhaps *The Corporation* IS *The State* in modern applications.

Africans sold their own in to slavery.
The Chinese sold there own in to slavery.
The 'Natives' themselves sold their own to slavery.

And yep so did the Europeans.

There is no people out there in the world whose hands are clean.

Are you serious? Have you even looked at where your tax dollars go? The US wastes so much ____'ing money on so much GARBAGE, and some people actually think giving out free healthcare is the descent into evil pinko communism?

Dear god, the whole country may as well be labeled communist circa 60's standards, it's not like any of you have a choice where your tax dollars go and a major chunk of it is spent on building a bunch of 5 million dollar tanks or drones that will get abandoned in some god forsaken place in the Middle East after being used once or twice, better yet, a billion here or there will just be another tax break to some insurance company that is planning to ram a 16 inch dildo up your ass.

Of course, all the Americans know better, don't wanna be socialists, screw anyone with pre existing conditions and appendages that have to be sewn back on, don't wanna be dirty socialists!

And the majority of that government waste is paying for peoples existence.

Not the job of the state to provide the wants of the people.

That is up to themselves.

17 trillion dollars in debt ,and the trillions more tell the truth to everyone paying attention.

Take money from the people so they can go out and line corporate pockets even more so than they already are.

Must have missed all the GD government subsidies for the Care Act.

You know those tax credits,etc.

So yeah when someone does say 'free healthcare' the people using it who are getting tax credits aren't going to be paying for it.

And that is the definition of what 'free' means.

Where would America be without slavery?

Well... a relevant question, as slavery is coming back big time now.

We are headed towards a slave state, and that a lot of this has been driven by the fact that people will blindly follow their party lines over a cliff.

Look at how extremist and totalitarian both sides are, there is no safe haven for someone who just wants to be happy. And in my opinion, if you cut right down to the bottom line,

Both sides are working together to promote a totalitarian agenda against everyone's best interest.
