I tell you what would get a huge majority of American's in an uproar.

No problem at all! I was going to post the video you just did, but it didn't have music and was over 5 minutes. "They" are trying to say only a couple hundred at best showed up, well this video proves them very wrong! It's AMAZING to watch these Americans carrying those Barrycades, just peacefully marching along doing EXACTLY what they came to do!

I was under the impression that part of the drive was to arrest members of congress. Can anyone tell me if anything happened with regard to this?

No. That was twisted by two people who tried to take the protest over and twist it into something else. The original protest was just to protest trucker related issues.

I feel betrayed and Im not even American, I feel pissed about what the US gov is getting away with, and no care whatsoever for the people. Such a crime beyond words what they are doing.

I AM an American and I have BEEN betrayed by the US government. I do not feel it, I KNOW it. Your right, it is a crime.

Today, to me, this protest said to the government " We the people is who you are here to serve, and our voices will start being heard, and you will begin doing the will of the people for the good of the people once more, or we will stand against you en mass"

We need more of these types of protests, from citizens, I know vets will protest but they have already demonstrated the ability and will to fight for America... we need citizens, just people, marching, protesting.

The problem is everyone seems to want one or two issues that everyone can stand behind... and the problem in America is so very much larger than what people see as the issues... the only real rallying cry that I see personally? Is the government no longer listens to the people, to the citizens anymore... oh big business they will listen to, and lobbyists for special interest groups, and illegals... but not the people who they are supposed to serve...

That makes the rallying cry simply " We the people need a voice, we the people will be heard!" Because today, our voices do not appear to have enough money to be heard.... That is the only ONE issue I see..

These small issues are meaningless, designed to distract from the larger one... that we no longer have a representative government in this country that is "By the people and for the people"

They lie cheat and steal to us and from us, in order to serve their own ends which is done in the name of greed and power... they dont care about abortion laws or gay marriage or any other damn "issue" they only use this to distract... and republicans AND democrats are guilty of the exact same thing. They are in this together and the government has not one thing to do with the people anymore..

The people are getting their bread and circus to shut them up and make them happy while the government goes about its merry way doing what is good for their own selves..

"We the People SHOULD be heard, We the People WILL be heard"

That is what today meant to me personally... I not but a very few will agree, and most do not seem to care because they are too satisfied with their bread and circus... but if we do not change, and damn soon... it will simply be too late... the more time they gain, the more difficult it becomes to once again regain our voice!

So today.... many people joined together in this one cry... We the People will be heard.... I hope today is not the end, but only the beginning....

Thanks to everyone who worked so that the word of what happened got out, so all the people can see... seriously, my sincere thanks

Just got back to the computer and just wanted to thank those who kept us updated. Was the best news site for that, as it is for just about anything having to do for "the people". Appreciated.

I am wondering if the White House will even speak about this. Then if they do - will it be to point fingers (exploit for more political gain)?

If Obama speaks about this I may read about it here but have no wish to listen - to be one less set of ears. The media nearly silenced these people this weekend. Had it not been for all of you I wouldn't have known about anything from start to finish. Only reinforced my rationale of getting my news from the people - not MSM.
