H5N1 Bird Flu - Top Pandemic Potential; US Cutbacks Block Tracking

According to Replikin testing, H5N1 bird flu is the strain most likely to cause the next pandemic. Replikin counts in 2008 predicted the H1N1 pandemic of 2009, and predicted the outbreak of H5N1 in Indonesia in 2006-2008, which peaked with a human mortality rate of 80%. Indonesia just reported another case, and has now had 194 H5N1 cases, including 162 deaths. Flu season started early in the USA, but the government shutdown is blocking disease tracking.

New Genomic Analysis Shows H5N1 (Bird Flu) Replikin Count Highest Among Five Influenza Strains

Replikins are specific gene structures quantitatively related to rapid replication and outbreaks of viruses (1). Replikins Ltd today released its genomic analysis of the structures of five common strains of influenza: H3N2 (Seasonal Flu), H2N2 (Asian Flu), H1N1 (Swine Flu), H7N9 and H5N1 (Bird Flu). While the Replikin Counts in the genes of several influenza strains are increasing, the highest Replikin Counts continue to be in H5N1 (1) (See Figure). With the occurrence of additional human cases of H5N1 this year in Cambodia and Bangladesh (WHO), concern is increasing.

Rising Infectivity Gene Replikin Counts in H1N1 in 2008 predicted the H1N1 pandemic of 2009 (1, 2). Also, rising Lethality Gene Replikin Counts in H5N1 predicted the outbreak of H5N1 in Indonesia in 2006-2008, which peaked with a human mortality rate of 80% (3).

While the flu season may be starting, the Feds can't track it.

That's a scary thought according to local doctors who fear without the data, they can't predict how bad the season will be and get people the vaccinations and medications they need.

...The government shutdown forced the furlough of nearly 9,000 workers at the CDC.

Local health officials say that has compromised weekly reports on flu patterns which determine when and where flu outbreaks are happening.

Dr. Jason Bowling, an infectious disease specialist with UT Medicine says every season is unpredictable and this information is critical to save lives.

We're doomed again. We are all going to die....someday. Hopefully I die of old age, if I were to worry about all the things that could kill us, I would probably have a stroke or heart attack from the stress. I worry more about getting killed by someone texting or being distracted while driving than I worry about getting the flu. I don't worry about the toxins and food chemistry that is weakening us, I just try to avoid eating too much of it or neutralize the chemicals before I consume them. It actually isn't that hard, nothing to lose sleep over.

Just because bacteria is drug resistant doesn't mean our immune system can't kill it. Just because we are exposed to the flu doesn't mean our bodies don't fight and kill it without us even knowing we were exposed. The medical industry is blowing this up. We have a pretty good immune system, as long as it isn't confused. Some of the foods we eat and the added chemistry confuse the body, we fight things that do not harm us because the body does not recognize it and uses all it's chemicals on that leaving us weakened when the flu comes around.

I'm generalizing this, the whole subject is very complex.

S&F for realizing this, I think this is to make people fear loosing the government agencies that monitor disease. I agree these agencies are necessary but I don't like the tactics the government is using.....They are trying to insight fear in the public in many ways so they can control us. I understand their tactics, and maybe their tactics do work, governments have been doing that for thousands of years. It will work on a majority of the people in the country.

Yup....We're doomed again. I don't fear dying, I don't especially want to be sick anymore. When I was on those meds for my epilepsy I was sick all the time. I don't understand why they have to dampen your immune system for the meds to work. I have only been sick once since then and that was after I got a TDAP shot. That fired up my immune system, that is how it works, and I was sick when I actually wasn't sick. It accentuated all my allergies, I couldn't even drink my usual glass of milk or other milk product once a week. It took me a while to figure what was happening. I hate phlegm and snot.

Yech. Hate the focus on "doom." It's the science that intrigues me, and the proof that everything is "connected" - like Gaia on steroids.

That said, a quick update. ...H5N1 remains endemic in Asia (birds, soil, water, etc.) and human cases are popping up again in Vietnam and Cambodia. Odd that no one talks about "low-path" H5N1 being endemic in North America (at least). A staff guy at Baxter Pharmaceuticals says H5N1 vaccine appropriate for pre-pandemic, pandemic immunization. No surprise there.

China just confirmed a new human case of H7N9.

H1N1 is hitting hard in India and the Caribbean - and reared up in Singapore too.

Right now, the main geographic areas seem to have one dominant flu - but if people start getting co-infected with different strains, and the viruses start exchanging genetic information...

And a big push for flu vaccine heralds its way back into the social stream... People will panic. And then people will comply. I bet none of the gov. officials will ever die of this disease.

Oh yes they will - and then we''l have to consider whether or not they were purposefully infected. ...Remember when all the mouthy politicians died in plane crashes? Now it's "natural causes" - cancer or heart attacks or infectious. Sure.
