FYI - This was crossposted on Redstate and the author admitted it was a hoax in the comments after being called out by Erick Erickson. You can read here:

The claims is that they're going to use National Guard units from surrounding states, which they can't unless they federalize them. They can only use the NG from DC without calling them up, and they can't call the up until the strike actually starts, when it's too late.

See here we go it seems I'm not the only one who saw through this poorly constructed ploy to generate site traffic and further the propaganda agenda of the ones at the top (by top I mean those who are running the companies that own all others). Too bad they will still host the article and many many people will read it and never see that and fall prey to the ploy.

ETA: Can't win for losing in a rigged game. Need a new game to teach them how to play

As usual, erick Erickson is totally correct, and I find myself concurring with his post here. As I asked in my post on facebook announcing this and in forwarding it to some friends, "does this make you laugh your head off, or angry because with this White House, you never know what they might try next? So I will only add to Erick's post here the question: can you really blame people for believing Barack Obama or his true believers, would try to overreach in this way? If many people ARE crazy to believe this might be true, have they perhaps been driven to it? Despite the headline and subheadline both having a tell tale QUESTION MARK, I must say when I wrote this, I had to wonder, will it be taken as literal truth or as the satire it was intended to be?

And, do you laugh, or get angry, after you read this?

Before you say it is so very far fetched, who would have anticipated them "closing" the Gettysburg open air battlefield - a field for goodness sake - the Monuments in Washington and other open air parks? Not only is it far-fetched - and would have been laughed off if an article like this had appeared the week before the supposed "government shutdown" - but it would also have been pointed out that the President and his men would have to be totally inept not to realize the image they would create, the message they would send, by such actions.

So, if you do laugh, don't laugh too hard. With this White House, you have to wonder, what next? For those who, like Erick Erickson, figured out this is all simply a satire and who were able to "read between the lines" of the article and note the question marks at the very start, thanks for going along with it and I suspect your reaction was more laughter than anger.

And the explanation by the author

Most people took is as a wait and see thing. Though personally I have no doubt whatsoever that such a thing is within Obama's mindset. Like I said earlier there is no answer to this until tomorrow anyway.

If an article has "undisclosed sources" then it's wait and see. If he comes out afterwards and says it's satire then is he any more believable in that statement than his first. Like I said, wait.

The administration is looking for a fight.

I just wish it wasn't Smokey and the Bandit delivering our displeasure.

I hope what ever they do. It will be done peacefully.

You know...I am all about peaceful protests. I wished the "Occupy" movement hadn't been penetrated and admonished by the media(since those who OWN the media [and don't give me that bs about it being freely traded...there are billionaires who are majority stockholders] stood to lose the most from its propagation and message.

However, I am concerned about truckers blocking freeways in not just D.C., but deciding to be asshats and block major thoroughfares in other major metro areas. This could make it difficult for first responders to make it to the daily accidents that already take lives due to REGULAR traffic. And when this happens this weekend, and it will, to what person or group will "THE BLAME" be placed. It seems everyone in the US is more concerned about placing the blame on someone else than just everyone marching in unison to their respective congresspersons office or outside the White House to yell a collective "STOP!" If as much energy went into focusing demonstrations with people in public than douchy little blame game memes, this whole thing would have ended a week ago.

This is what I was thinking as well. Seems We The People are being intentionally agitated so the Feds have an excuse to start using those non-existant Fema Camps, and all of those glorious appropriations made by Big Sis. Note: she made a rapid exit stage left before her purchses went into use. Was this her form of protest against a storm she knew was being manufactured? She was a part of seeding the clouds, but got far, far away before the sky opened up. Just some food for thought...

If we are being goaded into Civil War, the time is ripe as tensions are very high right now.

One thing to keep in mind, however. The true people behind this movement on the Beltway are encouraging all to participate, all across the country, regardless of your location. No need to travel to D.C. Participate in your own hometown.

I lean towards most people being a part of a peaceful protest, but all it takes is one loon, or one plant by the government, to potentially light the flame of insanity.

Hard for Obama to police the entire country unless... well, you know the rest if that story.

Personally, I think they should print up giant posters and put them on the trailers to say what they want to say. Everyone would at least see their message that way no MSM necessary.

THAT is actually a great idea. I hope they've already thought of doing that.

If it was a convoy of illegals they would be welcomed with open arms.

People did see the news about the illegal rally while veterans were kicked to the curb.

There are times that I am fully disgusted what this country has become.

And this is another reason I am.

The following was posted on the facebook page as an update for what it's worth.

Retraction from Paul Joseph Watson is as follows:[10/10/13 Demonstrators under the banner of Truckers Ride for the Constitution will arrive in DC tomorrow morning to snarl traffic as part of “a shot across the bow that will ripple across all branches of government.” 10,000 truckers are expected to continually circle the Beltway for three days, taking up two lanes and keeping a third clear to allow access for emergency vehicles. The group said speculation that the National Guard would block the Beltway was inaccurate, stating, “The Virginia State Police are working closely with our organization and have assured us that no such orders to the National Guard exist.”

So this seems like a non event according to them, the people holding the event.

But in my opinion it wouldn't surprise me at all if this did pan out, it seems certain entities within our government are just chomping at the opportunity to use force or to show force... Personally I think it is totally possible and would buy a couple of squares on a sheet if ya know what I mean..

I totally agree with everthing you say...except...again, it's not "just Obama", it's not the repubs in the House, it is the MEDIA portraying these thoughts which then provoke emotion...and who are "they" trying to provoke the most? Yep. Vets.
Who is more likely to own a gun? Vet or nonvet?
Who is more likely to have a ready built group of "like-minded" individuals to side with them(yeah...all vets went through basic training for a reason...to eliminate individuality and build groupthink)?
"They" have been playing this crap up too long. A veteran has no more rights than a typical citizen as outlined by the Constitution nearly everybody on this website seems to hold dear, but now, are elevated above the regular citizen...Why? Why can they fast track to a teaching job, though, I have been educated in the subject and passed exams? Why are their rights so sacred? Just because they "towed the line"?

Remember Rome anyone? The republic that was in essence a plutocracy just like now, until a General took over...then people were divided into two groups. Citizens and plebians...easiest way to become a citizen? Join the Army...

Eisenhower warned us about this...turns out he was right...now we are watching actors on a stage...Caesar isnt Obama...he, they are the collective wealth behind EVERY POLITICIAN AT THE FEDERAL LEVEL...and YOU ALL are buying it...

Not sure how blocking 495 would be effective?

Just looking at a map, and from living in the area one can take Virginia 66 almost all the way to the white house... Other routes that don't involve 495 are also available.

... and maybe you could try to stay on topic.

From your previous post.

Have you considered that maybe we have a higher level of respect for someone who served their country and were willing to give their lives for their fellows? Many of them didn't come back either.

As far as why we hold the Constitution dear is because it was what our country was founded on and what made it great. It's not so great now but many of us remember when it was and are loath to relinquish one of the main things that could bring it back.

Well my advice is when reading from blogs take it with a grain of salt.

Doom porn marketing is alive and well these days.

When the author of the article starts his "well Obama could have done something like this / this was only satire".....what a POS. He later added the disclaimer after he was called out - all he was doing was trying to generate traffic to his article.
