Here is a tip...if you have to say that you don't think you are over-reacting...you most likely are over-reacting.

Honestly, your response is farther from reality in regards too how I postulated what I was doing.

I'm not emptying a bank account. I'm not hysterical.

I asked a legitamite question to which I received a single "Non, demeaning response" and then yours sir.

Asking if I'm over reacting to purchasing a couple cases of water, rice and beans is a small budget which I DON'T have to spend a huge sum of money on.

Postulating my response to those of over reacting preppers, now that's ridiculous. I could assume many points off of your response but short of breaking T&C's I'll tread lightly.

Maybe you should work on your perception skills, so next time you respond like this, you can respond more accurately.

Lastly, sir. Having minor provisions is a good idea for any type of scenerio that is out there. I'd rather have my minor provisions than to be someone who has NONE and comes knocking on my door.

Well, I'll tell ya. The end of 2012 was a mixed period for news hounds, wasn't it? Obama won... (Booo!). That was the obvious one... I think I had two major pieces of bad news though and Obama wasn't even the worse of the two. You know the worst bit of news to close out 2012 and open 2013?

Boehner was reappointed Speaker. (ARRRRRRRRG!) Mr. Jello himself was given another shot at golfing with the President one day while playing like he's a big strong man of principle the next. At least Obama is straight up and forward about who, what and how he's come to be what he is. He even makes open jokes about Socialist mops, he's so comfortable in his own skin. Boehner is a two headed snake no one can trust to throw, let alone work with ....and any hope of a bicameral system for the next two years? Died...when news came that HE was the fool running the House again.

(It's not party with Obama and Boehner... They are personal and individual fools....but Obama has the backing and support of true experts. Boehner is..well..just a fool)

Oh yes...those mysterious laws on the books that the OP or the source fails to mention. Could it be, that these "laws" don't really exist?

Please do share with all of us...what are these "laws on the books" that magically turns our Republic into a Dictatorship overnight?

There are no such laws, of course - If there were they would have been in the OP's article.

well from an Hist. point of view,, America=Rome,,,me i'm just a "Barbarian Gaul" living next door.
If Ceasar aint paying his people,,well,,,its either because he's out of money, or he don't TRUST, them.
if he's out of money, then all the mercinaries,hanger-ons, etc,,,will move too other pastures,,if its because he's greedy, and paranoid,,like say,,Julian, Ceasar,,well,, either way it seems too be crucial.
Gee enforcing Pax-Romanus,,who knew,, i meant Pax-Obamus,,

I'd take Pax Romanus. At least the people living under it lived quite well for a good period of time. Rome ended rather badly as a major world power, but they sure had a good living while it lasted. We did too, for what that's worth. The more time goes by without come reversal though, the more than becomes past tense without much chance of returning in our lifetimes. Pity it was allowed to self destruct like this.
