Good observation, Arken! It somewhat does seem to resemble a ramp or road of sorts from that perspective. From other angles, however, especially in combination with the HiRISE images, I'd say it's rather an area of lighter deposits, possibly sand, as some previous posters suggested.

The problem with stuff like that is always the same: even if we indeed came across something artificial that is very very old and eroded beyond recognition, it'd be quite hard to discern the details. Until further notice, I'll stick to my personal opinion that some of the features we've seen on Curiosity's trek up to now seem to be more than just plain rocks. Time will tell ...

A good piece of evidence IMO would be a close match between something seen in the MastCam100 images that could also be clearly discerned on HiRISE imagry. But here i'm probably just stating the obvious. So let's keep looking and thanks again for bringing this to our attention!
