Consider something. Earlier this year, we were made to believe sequestration was the end of America as a functional nation if we didn't step, fetch and bark on command to prevent it. Once it passed, both sides got cuts into sacred cows NEITHER side could ever poltically dream of achieving any OTHER way. No one even talks much about it now, although at some level, that is what this budget debate is about.

TPTB have been screwing us over ever since (and maybe before) they granted themselves access to take loans from Social Security. Remember during the last election cycle when Paul Ryan whined about Obama stealing 'his idea' to strip it some more ... hundreds of billions if memory serves. I heard 'em speculating on the news that one of the outcomes of these 'negotiations' would be another age limit increase specific to retirement.

Wrabbit2000
Now what has this done? Well.. Unemployment isn't coming out and that's just one of dozens of key indicators, milestone measurements to programs and critical reports NOT being produced with a perfect excuse. These have been bad news items for a long time. The politicians are happy. People protesting, as we've seen, can be shut down on the spot and even arrested in places this is NOT normal or even really been accepted before. Politicians are happy.

Let's talk about unemployment, but we can't do that without taking into consideration underemployment. And, we can't have an in-depth conversation without giving due consideration to the effect of reducing payments to special interests without addressing the human consequence. Wrabbit, there can't be a negotiation, because there's nothing to negotiate. We either agree to continue kicking the can down the road (which is about to fall apart as you've pointed out) ... or we deal with the pain now. See, that's the real issue when you get down to the jiggy ... now, or later? TPTB are happy now, so the answer is going to be later.

I'm old. Financially, I'm okay. FWIW, later is okay with me too, but I hate procrastinating.

Wrabbit2000
It would be the last turn onto the path to the bottom.

It's gonna be alright, brother. As long as it doesn't get violent, it's gonna be alright.

SOOOOOOOO.....One guy gets a little harmless action on the side in his office from a woman not his wife. This kind of thing happens all the time, and he gets canned.

THIS MFer....Holds the nation hostage because he's being a little b****, and has numerous scandals under his belt already...and he gets to keep his job????

Someone explain to me why this asshat is still in office. I THINK WE ALL WOULD LIKE TO KNOW.

WHY ARE WE NOT DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT?!

WHY ARE MORE PEOPLE NOT HEATED ABOUT THIS?!

...something needs to be done. This fool sucks more than George Bush, and he was AWFUL. He may be smarter, nicer looking, and more eductaed. But damn me if he's a better president than Bush, at the very least they are equals in terms of failure.

I am no longer optimistic. Winter is coming. If they haven't pulled there heads out of their fourth point of contact by December, I think that there will be violent protests.

My body is so broken right now that I'm stocking up on long lasting crap canned foods just so I can hunker in place.

But unless those [Bleeping Bleepers] in DC can [un-bleep] themselves, more bad times are coming our way.

It's quite simple and has been said here before. Political correctness. And lil barry is gonna milk it for all it's worth.

No one in Congress wants to be attached to impeaching the first black president. They're afraid it'll ruin their career.

Not to mention the possible riots that would ensue from such a action.

It's just another temporary diversion as a criminal government prepares to raise America's $16,700,000,000,000 debt ceiling, and 30 million tax dodging illegal immigrants standby to apply for free prenatal care and cash jobs, all to be sponsored by the hard working American people who will be donating generously, through Obama's unaffordable "Affordable Care Act."

In fact it's all FOR THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE, because of WE THE PEOPLE..... Our Government has taken over. Totally. WE THE PEOPLE dont have say anymore. WE THE PEOPLE vote in morons to do our bidding. So in retrospect...WE THE PEOPLE are to blame at least the ones that voted in these morons. And keep voting in these morons even when we know what's gonna happen. Our Government needs an overhaul, we need stricter term limits on all politicians, no more 35 year Senators....who are living 35 years ago in their minds. Until WE THE PEOPLE stand up and stop it......It shall continue till we die or they kill us whichever comes first. Freedom...aint it great!!

That's all well and good, and I agree with it.

However, people need to wake up and realize that this guy is not doing his job and therefore should be handed his pink slip.

He, like everyone trying to make a living, has to meet certain standards while at work, or their boss is no longer going to sign their check. People need to realize that he's just like us, and should be held accountable just like us. He has no power over us, without us, he doesn't have jack.

I think this guy is capable of letting the US default, and things are going to get nasty. You don't mess with the livelihood of a person's family.

This person who is of the PEOPLE didn't vote these morons in at all. My vote pretty much didn't count for what it is worth.

But then again, I usually vote Libertarian, Independent, 3rd Party and on the occasion GOP. I also vet my vote prior to casting it.

But living here near Cleveland, OH, those votes pretty much end up in the trash bin. Just a bunch of brainwashed Demorats here. They think that "My father and grandfather voted DNC, and so will I." It's a inbred family tradition here.

It's always amusing to see how far people will go to avoid health care reform. Truman said we needed a health care policy in 1947 yet the power brokers refrained. A portion of tax money needs to be utilized by allowing nonprofit organization(s) to pay the nations health bills and only allow Ins. co. to offer plans for the gaps in unwanted public entitlements. This is "NOT" socialistic and people need to wake up from the nightmare and act accordingly.

Well then, We The People are the ones who'll have to remove him and his admin. Because we all know that Congress won't do it. And you do realize that there are those who would defend him.

That would lead to civil war. Hell, the way things are going could lead to that.

It just seems as if there is no personal responsibility anymore. We "The People" are oh so screwed.

by December, I think that there will be violent protests.

My body is so broken right now that I'm stocking up on long lasting crap canned foods just so I can hunker in place.

Pray that it does not come to this, 'cause your crap canned foods aren't going to last long enough. There's a hum everywhere. People are ready to snap ... and they're armed to the teeth.

Problem is, no one's ready for this ... except TPTB.

Resistance leadership hasn't been identified and comms haven't been established. If that didn't send a chill up your spine you haven't got a clue what the aftermath is going to look like. Every one who owns a gun thinks they're Rambo, but I have seen firsthand what happens to a disorganized resistance effort ... and 'slaughter' is the only way to define it.

Go check out the photographs of what happened in Panama, or Grenada, or Iraq, or Iran. Look at the faces of the people and tell me you want to see expressions like those on the faces of your neighbors, or the guy staring back at you from the mirror, or your own children (God forbid).

Greetings,

I for one wouldn't mind seeing the shut down continued...IF IT WAS AN ACTUAL SHUTDOWN...which it's not. It might show the sleepers just how irrelevant the current regime truely is.
Unfortunately 83% still functioning isn't a shutdown. It's a fraking joke.
Holding senior citizens at gun point.
Murdering single mothers and then lying about it.
Martial law gestapo tactics.
Closing down roads so people can't even see national monuments.
Senators and Congress drinking up a storm.
Threatening to take away seniors, veterans and soldiers benefits and medications.
Making up excuses to shut down entire cities to catch ONE SINGLE PERSON.
Allowing off-duty police to terrorize and brutalize families who are in genuine fear for their lives, then trying to cover it up.
Just how much of this will America take before they realize O-BWAHHH-ma (BOTH parties in fact) are sphincter clowns who have long outlived their relevance.
Is this the change you all envisoned when "Don't-Drone-Me-Barry" was selected for you?
Congress will betray everyone soon enough and Barry will still get his way and do you know what the public will do about it?
Absolutely nothing.
It's sad beyond words.
You think THIS is bad mojo?
Just wait till you get stuck with Hitlery Clinton and her rapist husband (or Nazi Bush) again for another 4 to 8 years.
It'll make this entire nightmare look like a picnic.

I don't need to look at those photographs as I have plenty of my own that I took. But you are right, that guy looking back at me in the mirror does bear a resemblance to them. Could be one of the reasons I'm "P"ed off.

I was living a good simple life. Very simple as a matter of fact as I'm a minimalist. I didn't think that this would affect me...but it has. If I'm not dead by spring, then I'll be homeless if this keeps up.

You have to wonder why the president of the Untied States would do this. The people already look down on the GOP and congress so why punish them for it when that is your goal.

I really think this is what happens to a person when you let hate take over when you don't get your unconditional way.........the president has lost all perspective and caring for anything but his agenda.

You're not alone because we're all in this together and we're still free. If the dollar is worth more than a plugged nickel come Spring, I can at least by you some decent camping equipment.

We'll be fine? China and Germany are here to help us?

Thanks! But already have some.

But I do think that I am ready to unplug for a couple hours from the webz. Time for a walk and then a nap. Maybe then I'll have calmed down a tad.

You sir are a racist!!!

Of course, that's the knee-jerk reaction obama-supporters are brainwashed with for auto-reply. The point in this strategy being attack the person asking questions, not the issues. After all, we can't have all of Barry's issues/failures/scandals/lies on front street until AFTER the next puppet is placed on the throne in D.C..

That, and I think people are, in general, waiting for some tipping point, when in reality, there seem to have been a few tipping points to have already occurred. A very important strategical move by the elite to not disturb the sleeping bear (aka the public). They don't want to cause too much disruption until the full implosion occurs. Then the public will just continue to fight amongst themselves, this time over food, fuel and firearms because the elite's goal will be accomplished by that point. The public, in theory, won't even know who to blame, thus, the elite continue to keep their cover/cash/control.

These are my sentiments as well. The public wastes so much time blaming the wrong people for the wrong reasons, meanwhile the people really responsible are laughing in the background and will continue to laugh as our country descends into the 9th level of hell when it finally implodes.

Keep in mind that the last time the public was this divided (and angry) on issues, we went to war with ourselves.
