Junior congressman typically have no power and are usually forced to sit in the back row of meetings and don't typically sit on any of the important committee's until they have served for years. Yet they wield enough power to shut down the government? I don't buy any of this. This is a bipartisan effort to kill the Tea Party.

The tea party represents 9% of the house.
The highest ranking members rank 9th, 7th and 6th.

Yet they are supposedly powerful enough to shutdown the gov? Remember the left media is not calling out republicans. Even the POTUS is calling out a small portion of a group of senators. This is a calculated attempt to wipe out any competition to a two party system.

I would call attention to Harry Reid's frequent usage of the term anarchists of late as well.

I see a distinct pattern here, I think it is a good sign that both parties are beginning to see the very real possibility of a popular austerity movement that scares the bejeezus out of them.

The only thing career politicians fear is loss of power, and the purse is the source of that power.

Excellent point. Fits squarely into the propaganda plan of NSA/CIA. Molding public opinion to think that the bastard child party is causing the problems that have existed for ages.

The TP is cutting their own throats. Their big mistake was getting regular GOP members po'd at them. Their second mistake was getting Wall Street mad because they are biting the hand that feeds it.

The DNC does not want to kill the Tea Party they want to use its great dislike among the American population to tear the GOP apart. Those wack jobs can not stop saying stupid and crazy thngs and grabbing headlines painting the entire GOP as nutters. The DNC is of course going to full advantage of this. If I did not know any better I would think the entire Tea Party are DNC plants.

Would you also call attention to Cruz and other TP members constant usage of the term Nazi as well?

The Tea Party appears to me to be more an Idea than an actual organization(although there are numerous organizations with those words in their "titles")

Smaller Government, Lower Taxes, fewer regulations, elimination of the Fed Reserve, and return to the Constitution principles--- isn't that what the Tea Party stands for?

I say vote more Independents in, and vote all these bums out.

This cant be hard. When elections come up, make your voice heard.

I will give the Tea Party credit. They are pissing off the status quo. When congress is getting single digit and teen approval rates, it tell you the time is now!

Anything that pisses the Dems and rino Repubs off has my vote. I personally am sick of both parties and feel we need new reps... and anything is better than Reid and " we must past it to find what is inside, Mrs. P"

Like someone said once upon a time... "You know when you are over the target because of all the flak you are taking".

That little tiny insignificant (hijacked) Tea Party has a LOT OF MONEY
and political clout. They are bought and paid for by the likes of:
The NRA, The Koch Bros, Coal, Natural Gas, Halliburton and many more.
And while the TP's ridiculous staged antics continue to be
fueled in the news. Rupert Murdoch can be added to the list as well as AM radio
& the entire Fox News world .

In Texas, where I'm from and Canadian Ted Cruz is Senator;
We don't even bother with elections.
Watch I'll prove it, Greg Abbott will be the next
Governor. He has 22 million, Do you? That's why he's Gov.
Ted Cruz got him some Koch Bros Rand Paul help in the form of millions of dollars,
and walked into the Senate seat completely unknown politically till that point.

Cruz's owners, the afore mentioned group of billionaires
casino owners and Oil Company CEO's have been paying
BIG BUCKS to twist distort undercut delegitimize
anything that threatens their agenda.
Turns out his name is Barrack Obama.

They own Gun manufacturing and AM radio .
They own FOX and all it's political affiliates.
They own Limbaugh Savage Jones Texas Louisiana Mississippi,
UT & friggin Mack Brown and Rick Perry (they can have them)
So if your news and friend circles involve the folks listed above
don't listen to them, they are lying to you.

Absolutely.

Its absurd that people STILL want the 2 party system, while claiming the Tea Party is partially to blame for this Countries woes.

No Budget in how many years? Massive Debt, Recessions, Wars, Invasion of personal freedoms, Kill lists, War Mongers, Broken infrastructure, Unemployment, etc....

This is the 2 Party System in a Nutshell.

Vote Independent or get the same BS you have been stuck with for the past 30 years.

Period.

A lot of claims, there... Might want to offer some evidence of the same...or it might be you I won't listen to, for suspecting you of exaggerating to promote a covert agenda...

Entrenched politicians do not want to kill the Tea Party, they want to kill the principles the Tea Party once stood for.

The original Tea Party movement was about fighting the bank bailouts. When the Tea Party was forming, the race was McCain vs. Obama, and the Tea Party wouldn't have anything to do with either. Republicans would show up at Tea Party rallies and get booed off the stage.

In short order, Republican candidates started saying the right words, and were allowed to speak. News outlets then started identifying these candidates as Tea Party. In reality, they were just pandering to capitalize on the public's opposition to the bank bailouts. But, thanks to the MSM, the Tea Party label stuck.

Some people with genuine Tea Party philosophy did get in to Congress, but not enough to have any real effect. After all, you can't allow too many people in Congress that would vote against a bank bailout. They make pretty good scapegoats, though.

There is a war going on for the heart and soul of this country. There are numerous factions. This is not a black and white battle.

There is good and evil on all sides.

Even the people are confused and don't know for certain where to turn, who to believe.

I fear for us. These are historical and dangerous times.

We are a fractured bunch.

MSM portrays a lot more fractures than really exist. I'd like to interview random EDUCATED voters across the country and see what the real numbers are. The country and our familial units are crumbling for cripes sake. That's the only fractures I see.
