Any chance that they could turn this thing on and suck Obama into a different timeline, where we won't even remember that he existed? Take Bush with him. Thanks

What if every black hole that we see in space is actually a point where there once used to be a solar system with an inhabited planet with 'beings' that were intelligent enough to wonder about stuff, and managed to create high energy particle impacts, which then created the vacuums necessary to suck in all surrounding matter, creating a black hole?

given that we don't know what's at the centre of black holes, or how they formed, then my idea is as good as any other out there.

We could all be sucked into a hole of nothingness. Okay ATS, we are on 'failure watch' for 10/16/13 .... (and yes, I'm sure nothing will happen)

Are We All Going to Die Next Wednesday?

n an instant - about one-twentieth of a second - the entire Earth would simply vanish from space. Less than two seconds later, the Moon would follow suit. Eight minutes later, the Sun would be ripped apart, followed by the rest of the planets in the solar system and onwards, a wave of destruction caused by a rent in the fabric of space itself, spreading out from our world at the speed of light. Any extra-terrestrials out there would die too, in due course. And there would be nothing technology could do about it.

But why should we now be worrying about such possible causes of Armageddon? The answer is a gargantuan machine - the largest, most expensive scientific experiment in history, the 'Large Hadron Collider', to be turned on next Wednesday.

Now someone tell me .... wasn't this already turned on?
Or am I experiencing a timeline shift?? I thought this was up and running already.

Actually, I just remember parts of a dream I had last night. It involved a very important announcement on the t.v. which resulted in people flocking to the streets in abject and uncontrollable celebration.
