It is a joke - if you weigh less then your knees will not have to carry so much - 'enlighten' is to be light.

But isn't it true that people hope for better? If it is true, then it is an occurrence of "what is". It seems to me that trying to do without out hope is seeking outside of what is.

People/Individuals will always hope for better. It is very unsatisfying to be unfulfilled - it feels like there is something missing (it is the human condition).
When 'all that is' is discovered then there is nothing left to hope for - nothing is missing - fulfilment.

I don't think that's true at all. All that is can never be discovered. Naming it a certain way doesn't necessarily change anything. Fulfilment and satisfaction isn't the lack of hope.

Are you saying want is suffering, but in a different form? As if the man who wants what's best for his grandchild is suffering? Or the man who wants to paint a picture is suffering beyond belief? What about the woman who wants to help others, or the child that wants to play sports when he grows up? Is that what you call suffering?

Friend, go watch some true suffering, and tell me it was their wants that made them suffer.

Want is not suffering in the slightest, not in any way shape or form.
