it comes and it goes. sometimes it's strong and sometimes it's nothing.

I think some of us just happen to be a little more sensitive to certain things going on
we some how pick up on it in a weird way
maybe it is anxiety related or maybe that's just how it's triggered in a way (i don't know if that makes sense)

i think that people who experience anxiety might actually be experiencing something else and doctors and people who haven't felt it dismiss it, call it anxiety, but I think if more people looked into they'd find there is more behind it. sensitivity to other people's feelings and emotions, vibrations, i think it overwhelms someone who is sensitive and it helps to learn blocking techniques.

i want to say it's almost like we're being scanned or probed at in some way. the whole world or certain individuals maybe but only some of us are picking up on the scan. maybe it's a way to see who is sensitive or not. maybe it is some sort of activation. I don't really know and I don't get that feeling but it's the best I can do to come up with what it's like sometimes.

it's just something that feels bigger than just us. it's a feeling that surrounds you. it's not anxiety exactly, but it is something very similar to it.

I think the more positive feelings are the ones to concentrate on and try not to let the anxiety feeling overwhelm you. but also don't dismiss it. sometimes that feeling in the gut is there to give you a heads up. pay attention to it.

I was seriously thinking about this exact thing for the last few days, at least. I feel 'out of sorts' in a way, almost like I am in the wrong person, if that makes sense. I was thinking maybe we really do have parallel lives and I somehow switched, because things seem off. Just a tiny bit, where it makes it noticeable but I can't quite put my finger on it. I have felt this often throughout my life and referred to it as having ansias (anxiety). However, it happens to me when there is no reason for me to be anxious about anything, such as right now.

I can't quite put my finger on it, I have this unexplainable feeling which is so strange that I can't even make sense of it myself. It just feels like soon there will be a huge change within the Earth for the better or the worse, a global awakening from our corrupted sense of morals and materialism? Transcendence of the human psyche? I've got no clue. I have no substantial proof for anything but my own intuition is telling me that something huge is going to happen soon and it's making me feel a bit restless not because of not knowing what it is, but it is simply one of the many faces of this strange "feeling".

Does anyone else have this unexplainable feeling? I really am not claiming something will happen and I am not asking anyone to believe me but all I want to know is: Does anyone feel it?

Perhaps someone can put into words what I can not.

I know what you mean - I remember going out at night to see the aurora borealis from the electrical storm in March 1989 (that took out Canada's power grid). Then I felt that something was going to happen in the future, like it was some kind of omen. Then the Berlin wall came down in November 1989.

October does tend to be the month that revolutions take place. The Summer is over, everything is cooler if not colder, and if there isn't a good harvest or food supply, discontentment can take over.

Exactly, I just told a friend today that I think I switched dimensions or something. Things seem " wrong". The air is wrong. There is a difference ,I can`t put my finger on what it is .But I also am feeling a pressure to do something but I don`t know what it is. There is a feeling of expectancy coupled with uneasiness----waiting for something. I can say right now I don`t like it!

I wish something would happen because I'm getting tired and bored reading "do you feel it?" threads, as they seem to be a constant subject.

I always keep hoping that someone will post up something positive but I guess "doom porn" is the current ATS fad.

Read enough ATS and eventually you will get depressed and you definitely will "feel it"

Take a break periodically from ATS and play your guitar, ride a bike, have coffee or a beer with friends, make love,
write a poem, plant a tree and I guarantee you will feel better.
edit on 8-10-2013 by olaru12 because: (no reason given)

I barely visit ATS nowadays, as I said earlier I am not really predicting anything I'm just asking if anyone shares the same odd feeling as I do. Please don't jump to conclusions, you are assuming all I do is spend my time on ATS all day, no that's completely incorrect. It's close-minded to jump to conclusions while reading only the title of the thread.

Why do these ridiculous "I have a vague feeling *something* is going to happen" threads continue to be placed on the front page. These are an utter and complete waste of space and time. Just saying...

In all seriousness, if you genuinely think these things, you need mental help. These are not normal or rational thoughts and they do not make you special or "in tune" or anything, they mean you may have something wrong with your brain.

Thanks for bumping the thread! I would have never seen it without your contribution!

I think that in recent years, it has become clear that we are on the precipice of some very interesting changes in our world. Everything from governments to technology are changing very, quickly (for better or worse).

I am not sure about anything metaphysical, in a literal sense, but I do think that in the next decade or two (at most), we are going to see some of the biggest changes the world has ever seen in many, many different facets of our lives.

I understand fully. I too, have this feeling that something is about to happen. I cannot identify the feeling itself but it's a feeling of anticipation...I have felt this way for about two years. The feeling is actually intensifying. I try to stay in touch with what is happening politically and prophetically, then I stand back and try to look at the big picture... Things are moving way too fast and it can be a little overwhelming.

I honestly was in shock reading this.... Yesterday i got a really weird feeling while i was at work. It shook me up pretty bad as i had a breakdown in the car during my lunch and started to tear up. I have a very terrible feeling that something bad is going to happen really soon. I was so terrified and scared and in "panic" mode yesterday..... I feel it too.... I NEVER had this feeling before and for me to randomly feel it.... i honestly can't explain it....

you have to wonder if some of those apocalyptic dreams or disaster scenarios that people have been having are just them tuning in to an parallel or alternate dimension.
This is what would have been or could have been. You know that whole planet a and planet b thing. maybe we're catching a glimpse of that other place.

Of course something is coming, and its going to be huge. The last grain of sand has almost dropped.

We have reached a critical juncture in our evolution, and a rebirth / reboot is forthcoming.

My advice to you OP would be - don't let fear take over or control you. Be loving to self, first and others second. The change will involve a new type of consciousness whereby thoughts will manifest reality far more quickly. So best to be grounded in LOVE and respect for all life.

Psychological and Spiritual Prepping will be far more beneficial than prepping in the material sense.

Blessings to you *

I think it comes from the unrelenting barrage of bad news in the media. Fukishima, all the wars, the bad economy, all the natural disasters of the past few years. I think anxiety is something everyone is feeling now. There are few places for solitude anymore.

My personal experience is that "shocks" (personal, psychological, challenges, etc.), although difficult to experience, provide an impulse for awakening. I used to think the hardest times in my life were a problem. I've come to realize that they allowed me to awaken to some degree. Maybe the world is pushing us now to a mass awakening.

I've had that feeling off an on for years. It is not the same as generalized anxiety. To put in a way that will certainly some sneering: it's a shift in energy, either in the whole planet and you feel it, or just in you, and you feel it. It doesn't necessarily mean anything will or will not happen. It's just an INTENSITY you feel. It's a shift, that's about it, and it's on a level we mostly don't pay attention. It's not doom. It just is.

What exactly would be 'wrong' with a persons brain who is questioning their place in this universe? Plus, some of us ARE more in tune with the earth, so to speak. For instance, I am what may be called an 'empath'. I am in tune with others feelings, especially negative ones. I get emotionally drained by negative people, so I have learned to stay away from those that I know. I am also very good at reading people from the first meeting. I know if someone is a 'bad' person right off the bat. I think this is a primal thing, and not a mental issue..

One can only hope. But yeah in regards to the OP, I've had this sense of there being something dark on the horizon for about 14 years now, I can even remember the exact moment where suddenly reality didn't quite seem the same. I've mentioned this to a lot of people over the years, most people have had it, but they tend to quickly forget when nothing immediately happens. I still don't know quite what to make of it, but it feels like some long-term scheme being subtly played out behind the world we know and are so absorbed in.

It was this very thing that lead me to Terence McKenna's work and ideas of a global consciousness. Tapping into the collective uncertainty of the world is about as good a description for it as I can think.

PS. Been reading ATS for a long time and finally decided to make an account, so hello all, good to finally be on board (:

Hey welcome welcome... I guess one could diagnose me in the anxious group.. something big is coming and I.he been consciously and subconsciously preparing for whatever it is for about ten years but I've really amped up a defensive stance within the past 3 years.. not that it's going to help but who am I hurting by being prepared? I sometimes just check out this site to see if anyone has come up with an answer or plausible explanation yet.. but mostly I only allow myself a week or two because there are some crazy flies round these here parts and you can be really sucked in if your not careful..
