This week has seen something rather interesting occurring in the UK. Labour leader Ed Miliband has been going up against The Daily Mail, which is one of the UK's rather nastier right-wing rags. Here's the latest summary.
There are two points to look at here. The first is the Mail's unpleasant attack on Miliband's father Ralph. They took an entry in his diary (written when he was 17 years old and had just arrived in this country) and spun it into a deeply unpleasant attack on a dead man. How brave of the Daily Mail. The second was the utterly indefensible decision by the Mail on Sunday to send a journalist to the private memorial service of Ed Miliband's uncle, who was a doctor and not a politician. This backfired massively on the MoS, which has had to issue a grovelling apology.
Frankly it's about time that someone stood up against the filthy rag that is the Daily Mail. It's a right-wing, anti-immigrant rag with pretensions of relevance. Let's see how this one plays out.

Just watching BBCs Sunday morning live, for my sins and Peter Hitchens a Daily Mail journalist, has just stated as a 17 year old he was himself a socialist Revolutionary, who believed in the violent overthrow of Capitalism. Now he writes for the Daily Mail. Seems strange the Mail never pulled him up on this, but has gone at the throat of the Milliband family.

The Daily Mail also ran a headline saying "Hurrah for the Blackshirts". Celebrating Oswald Moselys united union of Facism. The very type of ideology we went to war to defeat.

Hardly breaking news...

This is just another sideshow to keep the left / right, 2 party system alive and believable.

Milliband is only playing the game, and I personally will never trust a privately educated millionaire, living in a £1.6 million home, claiming to be a socialist (alternative agenda anyone?)

Whichever party is in power, they have zero control, the control is exercised by the very private company, that even talking about is banned, and secured by the official secrets act, and royal charter.

The unaccountable, unauditable bank of england

I'm no fan of Ed Miliband but was a supporter of the Labour party until Blair took it and created New Labour , I find this whole Daily Mail episode disgusting and highly suspicious , I suspect dark forces at play here emanating from from a certain house in Downing Street .

The mail's majority shareholder is Lord Rothermere who is a close friend and supporter of prime minister, David Cameron
Lord Rothermere, left, with David Cameron.

With our next election less than 18 months away and Ed Miliband out polling David Cameron something needed to be done to knock Milliband and Labour down a peg or two and this has Flashman's grubby prints all over it ...... in my oh so humble opinion .

It's going to be very, very interesting to see what happens with this. Dacre's on borrowed time from what I've heard - he's an arrogant bully who treats his own staff with contempt.
