we are on lockdown in the speakers lobby and house floor. Gunshots maybe six outside says congressman bill posey who heard them.

Police say the U.S. Capitol has been put on a security lockdown amid reports of possible shots fired outside the building.

People standing outside the Supreme Court across the street from Congress were hurried into the court building by authorities.

U.S. Capitol police said they had received reports of gunshots and one police officer has been injured.

More reports saying the shots may have been fired inside, but you know how these breaking stories go, I was telling my son just yesterday, Obama needs a false flag event.

I agree this is probably non-governmental in nature. Most likely just a regular shooting happening in a high profile city. Less likely is that this is a highly upset governmental worker that just lost it.

Not really surprising.

A 10% congress approval rating, more separation between the 1 and 99 % than ever, [insert any number of other major ways we've #ed things up], etc...

... and, it was bound to happen.

Hoping it's simply one disgruntled employee and nothing more and organized.
The path to system reform lies in negotiation, maintain the infrastructure, but change the dominant ideology.

If this turns out to be a massively ticked off constituent aiming for a specific politician, then I won't be surprised at all. If they say it's a random delusional person, I can't say I'd be entirely surprised either, but I'd be more surprised if it was than not. I think the citizens are getting steamed enough to start making ballsy statements or moves like taking shots at politicians, but the looneys do exist.

I'm sorry if that came off disjointed or aimless, trying to wrangle children, listen to the boob tube feeds, and keep an eye on here, simultaneously.
