reply so we know whos voting, and if your not too buisy, a short explaination of why one side over the other won. Oh goody no one voted for team TC! Fine be that way people, I just hope yall read the dabate before voting!

There will be a winner, but no matter who is, all made some very good points and everyone would do well by reading them.

I had no idea who I was going to vote for before I started reading but I have given my vote to..........................drum roll................Team TC!

I found that the argument that technology can not operate without soldiers but soldiers can operate without technology quite compelling.TC was right to mention Vietnam but I was surprised that Ex-superpower USSR's adventure in Afghanistan was not mentioned.
Team D-R kept mentioning Biological weapons but I couldn't think of an occasion that they,or Nuclear weapons,had been decisive in any war.I felt that Team D-R should of been able to find a few modern examples to prove their case.Iraq for instance,being only month since it finished,would of countered Vietnam from 30 years ago.

Overall the standard was very high and both teams should be congratulated.

Well done.

All the technology in the world is useless if the men aren't trained to use it... Luckily, the US has both!

I remember being amazed at the figures of how our fighter kill ratio increased when our pilots were trained in dogfighting, instead of just relying on advanced missiles...

of this one small sentence from K_OS :

THAT is truth and there is no arguing it..but both teams did well and I have to say, that DR's team had the harder side to debate, yet did well by what they said so to both teams, this was a tough debate and you guys showed some really great points..

Soldiers (humans) are definitely more dangerous!!

Example, computers don't make mistakes!! Its the twats that use them! Is that enough of a reason????
