So he's in a fed supermax slam right? Odds are he's not well hinged, let him eat his own cuts down the food budget!

I mean you're in a supermax, it isn't like you didn't pay your parking tickets. You typcially get sent there when you're uber violent danger to us. He first was in the slam for a weapons vilation and then killed a fellow prisoner at another slam.

Do we just say, "well you're eating your own excrement and you've proven yourself to be excrement, so due to our guilt for you being a complete demon as if it was our doing and not your choice, here you go into a minimum security nuthouse?"

Well. That's disgusting.

Not the inmate, mind you. But his treatment...or lack thereof.
SHUT IT DOWN

This is someone's son.
This is an OBVIOUS mental disease...and not being done out of spite.

They should be treated as a human should be treated when they are sick.

Wow.
Good thing that you don't make decisions.

He's in a supermax because he is a danger to himself and society.

Whether or not he is "deserving" is not the point.

The mentally ill can be a danger to society or themselves. It does not mean that they are pieces of excrement.

Attitudes like yours are what keeps the standards we have even in this day and age.

Mental illness is NOT a choice...or "bad" behavior.
It is a physical disease that affects behavior.
Being mentally ill is not a crime.

This prisoner is absolutley ill...not a bad person.
His previous crimes were probably committed before any diagnosis was ever made-therefore being confused with bad choices.

Are rabid animals "bad" animals...or is the disease driving them to behave in bad or threatening ways???

God...are we really still at this impasse???
Geez...no wonder our prisons are so full and the homeless numbers are skyrocketing.

What a shame.
