I don’t know how old you are therefore how much you know about this countries race centered attitudes. It is clear you are naïve on racial issues
though you may have good intentions.

Although this reply wasn't to me, I'd like to add my two cents.
I just turned 61 the first of this month. When Malcolm X was assassinated, I was aware enough of where things stood in this country to know that
he'd been taken away just as he was poised to do great things for race relations. He was a brilliant speaker and one of those rare few who would
rather be hated for speaking the truth than gain notoriety and power by pandering. His death saddened me deeply.
Like so many others, I cried when we lost Dr. King. It was a sad, dark time.
When I was in junior high, blacks were still being lynched. If we want to talk about racism, bear in mind that I've seen
first hand what
you've just read about.
We just disagree. I've been watching the thread and just wanted clarify where I stand. The fact that we don't agree doesn't automatically mean
there's any animosity. You've said nothing disrespectful or "snarky" to me and, hopefully, you didn't take that away from anything I've
Hanging the term "racism" on any of my attitudes is almost as likely as ever getting me to wear a bow-tie. Ain't gonna happen.
