"Let's call it what it is, they are trying to blackmail the president and say, 'Look, we're going to shut down the government or default on our debt unless you -- we go back, rewind the clock, on Obamacare and delay it or somehow cut off the funding," he said. "You can't govern that way. It will not work. It will be exposed."

Indeed the GOP and Tea Party, the dupes for the Rich, are Political Terrorists and blackmailers.

These are the kind of people who stood up for “states rights” when southern states were lynching black Americans. These are the kind of people who were against child labor laws; unemployment insurance; 40 hour work week; unionization of poor workers. Indeed you name it, the Tea party Republicans are for anything that favors the interest of Koch type millionaires and billionaires. And the funny thing is that because of their innate ignorance they themselves don’t even understand that! Indeed they are the most clueless, backward thinking and immoral human beings on the planet, and the recent attempt to shut down the US government because they are against poor people getting adequate health care is indicative of their mentality.

One would certainly think that people who want to codify selfishness and ignorance and put themselves up as martyrs for the interests of the opulent wealthy would have some kind of understanding regarding human need and suffering. But no, these types are psychologically impaired therefore they themselves are immune from seeing the results of their political terrorism. They don’t realize the harm they are doing, simply because of their manufactured ignorance and blindness is something planned, as they are dupes in the greater scheme to tear apart the American political landscape for nefarious reasons, something I will not go into in-depth in this op, at this time.

Suffice it to say these tea party dupes are the other side of the Islamists dupes in the east who are being utilized as tools and useful idiots (of the tear apart the world game) by sinister forces.

These Tea Partiers aver they only want to save tax money.
THEN START A TIRADE AGAINST THE MILITARY INDUSTRAL COMPLEX NOT POOR PEOPLE!

The money given to the downtrodden and poor and “Obamacare” is miniscule compared to the military bloated budget that fuels wars and worldwide violence.

DON’T THESE PEOPLE HAVE ANY MORALITY?

DON’T THEY UNDERSTAND THAT HUMAN BEINGS SUFFER?

So now they want to dis Obama and SHUT DOWN the government because they can’t get their way.

Even though shutting down the government will cause untold suffering and misery for many human beings. As the sequester cuts do that they precipitated earlier.

They of course being ANTI-HUMAN don’t care.

The Ayn Rand look alike Cruz, who by the way also favors another morally deficient ex-politician Joseph McCarthy. Indeed, Cruz looks and acts like he could be the illegitimate child of Joe McCarthy and Ayn Rand--the spawn of Satan... One for Skunk Works!

Obama isn't the one threatening a shutdown the Republicans are the ones pushing for the shutdown. They are the ones that made demands which only help an extremely small percentage of the population. Dems have done nothing but compromise and Reps have done nothing but make demands.

They can't blackmail Obama, he's already a black male.

Those representatives are only representing the people that placed them there.

House Republican Hostage Takers Are Unfit to Govern

They’re threatening an economic shutdown that will cause financial hardship and even ruin for millions of Americans. So let’s call these House Republicans what they are, says Jon Favreau.

The most terrifying speech I ever wrote for President Obama was one he never gave. On July 30, 2011, I began drafting an address to the nation about what would happen if Congress refused to raise the debt limit within 48 hours, thus denying the United States Treasury the ability to pay our country’s bills for the first time in 235 years.

Suddenly, all of the administration’s warnings from the prior few weeks became real. Without enough cash on hand, the government would be forced to delay indefinitely Social Security checks, the ones our grandparents depend on to put food in their mouths and a roof over their heads. Veterans who served this country would stop receiving the benefits they earned, and the men and women in uniform risking their lives for us wouldn’t get paychecks.

Every company in America that does business with the federal government, of which there are hundreds of thousands, would not see their contracts paid on schedule, an effect that would ripple down to their employees and their families. With each passing day, making our debt payments to businesses and governments around the world would become more and more difficult. When the world stopped seeing the United States as a safe and reliable place to invest, the cost of borrowing money would skyrocket for every single American—whether it’s a home mortgage or a personal credit card. And those high borrowing costs, coupled with billions in delayed income for seniors, soldiers, small-business owners, and their employees, almost surely would send our economy and the world’s into a crisis even deeper and more dramatic than the Great Recession of 2009.

The Tea party and GOP are heedless, heartless, selfish ideologues who like the Taliban will do anything, hurt or destroy anyone or anything that gets in their way. To enable such ignorant, in-human people is a crime against humanity.

So what happens when all these "rich people" say that they have enough money and just shutdown their businesses and put millions out of work?

Heck, I would love to be in the position of filing a tax form with all zeros. It would mean that the government gets nothing while I sit on a pile of cash. All those former employees get nothing either, which sucks for them. With no job and no tax base to pay for the social net, what would happen?

Is it wrong to not want to pay significantly more next year than this year and in the end receive less for effort? Is it rich that are evil or the ones that demand more?

And why not just give terrorists what they demand? Because it tells them that terrorism works and encourages further terrorist acts.

The GOP is threatening the economy now...and they have a larger hostage in a couple weeks when the debt ceiling needs to be raised again. If we capitulate to them now then they will make further demands in two weeks. Last time we simply "debated" raising the debt ceiling, we received the first ever credit downgrade in US history, the economy stuttered, GDP fell, Hiring slowed, the markets suffered...just from the threat.

What do you think will happen this time?

30 or so members of the GOP have seized control of the GOP Caucus, refused to support any measure that doesn't delay, repeal or defund democratically enacted legislation and are threatening to drive America into a second recession unless their demands are met.

It is a non-violent coup d' etat by an extremist minority faction of government. Politics aside, if their demands are capitulated to it will change the nature of our democracy for the worse for decades. If you disagree...envision the Dems in the minority a year from now and employing the same tactics.

Because there is a disconnect between official talking points and logic. Kinda like how you can't keep a story straight when lying.

For example, now that people will have to get by on 73% of their income (not counting the 15-30% of income that insurance premiums cost) they will be free do things that make them happy like take a date to the movies. You know, those extra things that
cost 3-5 hours pay at minimum wage that were cut with that 11 hour cut.

Not quite.

It comes down to whether or not we should fund Obamacare. I think most would agree that we, the people, don't want Obamacare. It's a train wreck. The politicians that are trying to push Obamacare on us don't even want it for themselves, only for us. If thats not a sure sign we're gettin' screwed then I don't know what is. Obamacare..You might be living in a van down by the river now, but at least you'll get a rainbow band-aid for that ulcer...

Oh wow if Bob Woodward said this then it must be true. Huffington post is a joke! The left is equal partners in this mess with the right. Anyone who thinks otherwise needs only look back 12 months and see the same dog and pony show with a different script. The WWE puts on a better show than these clowns anymore. Maybe they could hire some better script writers to really get some high drama and good tension to at least keep it interesting.

This is the most blatant example of "Battered Woman Syndrome" I have seen! Not to make light of woman whom are battered by any means, but politically for those whom believe that one party wears horns, while the other has a halo above their head???? WOW!!!

I mean look at how women whom are abused, still love their abuser! This is what I see in BOTH parties! No matter how much they are lied too, no matter how bad they are treated, they still stick up for their abuser!!

To call Republicans "terrorists" is well within your rights under your freedom of speech. However, it definitely makes you sound ridiculous.
