Huge Solar Filament Rupture Last Night September 29, 2013

Awesome. A conspiracy-theory-minded friend of mine is fairly convinced that the power grid is going to go down either tonight or tomorrow (to the point of shutting down all electronic devices to avoid having them "fried"). I came to ATS to see if A) a thread had been started discussing this whole CME thing, and B) if Phage had responded in said thread. I'm a satisfied customer now, thanks! ^__^

From indications from ACE (satellite), the CME has come and gone. The slight uptick in the density of the solar wind dropped about 4 hours ago. And the all important Bz magnetic component is...neutral.
