A friend sent me a E-mail talking about term limits and how congress is garbage. I agree with him whole heartedly this morning he sent me this so I thought I would share.

I use this same story to explain to people how Marine Corps policy is made.

Yup, it works for congress too. How sad.

There is another story, by Aristotle if I remember correctly about a ruler who was very tyrannical and abusive of his people.

Eventually the people get upset enough to rise up against him, they form a mob and march on his castle. While charging through town on their way to him someone in the crowd sees an old lady just sitting there watching the people go by.

"Surely you do not like the conditions we live under, are you not going to help us overthrow him?" asks the young man.

She responds, "when I was your age we also had a tyrannical ruler and we, like you, stormed his castle and took him out of power. He was replaced by a ruler that was even more harsh and yet again, we marched on him and removed him. He was replaced by another ruler even more terrible, currently the man your marching on now. I think that I am afraid of who will replace him once you succeed."
