I was just wondering what it is like to live in Jersey.

I am looking for a haven and was thinking of applying for a job there.

Although I have been to Jersey twice and it is a lovely island I was wondering if is claustrophobic to live there ?

Is it a lovely place to live ? Are the people nice and friendly ?

Do you as a local feel the need to escape to the 'smoke' in England or maybe France in order to prevent oneself going 'troppo' as the Aussies say ?

I would really appreciate any feedback - thank you.

PS the pay seems good ?

Member JerseyChannelIslands does - but looking from his/her posts, they don't seem to have been around for a while.

I've always fancied living there too - looks a fab place

Hi Thank you for replying -
It is gorgeous to visit but I wonder if living there is enjoyable.
They are advertising for staff right now if you fancy living there.

I wonder if the pay is good because the cost of living is high ?

I know you need a license to buy a house if you are a non resident [ citizen?] of some such thing. Because they have special houses available at normal prices for the workers ????

Or you need a million pounds in the bank - if you want to live there with no job ? Something like that ?
