With the Greek government already probing possible ties between the neo-Nazi Golden Dawn party and whether military forces are training its members, a prosecutor has ordered an investigation into a blog post on the special forces reservists’ website demanding the government and President resign and an interim government be appointed under the “guarantee” of the armed forces.

It seems things are about to get even more interesting in Greece if the military starts muscling it's way into politics again. For those unaware, in the late sixties and early seventies Greece was ruled by an anti-communist military Junta, which still has some admirers on the right of Greek politics.

This is the title from the article, if a moderator wants to adjust it accordingly because the current title is completely misleading and a complete fabrication by the OP.

Special Forces Reservists Want Government Out

They have demanded 15 things..among those 15 things is that the current coalition government STEP DOWN and allow a UNITY GOVERNMENT to take it's place, because the current government has FAILED to meet it's obligations and promises.


If they were planning a coup d'etat, they wouldn't be issuing statements asking the government to step down, they wouldn't be planning on holding a rally on Saturday.

What they would do is go and arrest not only the current government, but all 300 parliamentarians in Greece.

And believe me, all 300 of those crooks, and those before them since the 1980's could all be held accountable for treason and corruption very easily. But they've created this little system for them selves, these laws, which gives them immunity.



And that website you use, is a complete and utter joke. It may be called Greek reporter, but it is not run by a Greek, it is a psyops site.
The majority of it's articles are negative and anti-Greek.
I'm not saying that a Greek website has to be 100% positive about Greece. But this website you used as a source, is nothing but a pathetic psyops site that appeared during the crisis. It didn't exist before it.

Here are the 15 demands..

-immediate resignation of the government

-resignation of the president

-national unity government under the President of Supreme Court and personalities of renowned principles but outside the political scene as well as counselors of the Academy of Athens.

-suspension of the austerity loan agreement

-exclude all politicians who participated in governments that brought the country into economic collapse

- establishment of a Constitutional Court

- investigation committee consisting of high ranking judges who will investigate who and why brought the country to this stage as well as rendering of accountability.

-suspension of further taxation to annual income up to 25,000 euro.

-stop of lay-0ffs in the public sector.

-suspension of auctions and bank claims until the Completion Audit of Banks by Certified Public Accountants and accountability.

- denouncement of the odious debt.

-prohibition of sales of public property and resume operation of Defense Industries.

- immediate confiscation of German retails/businesses/companies, full compensation for WWII war reparations and occupation loan.

-lifting of the lawmakers’ immunity.

-the control of assets of those involved in economic positions of government , prosecute illicit enrichment and return to the state Efficiency to the State.

- protection from Hostile Elongation at the Aegean Sea, Macedonia, Epirus , Thrace and Cyprus , with parallel suppression of various groups operating in these areas.

-removal of illegal immigrants with a parallel promotion in European countries. Ban the of money transfer abroad more than 20% of their (immigrants) taxable income.

At what point do you see talk of the military taking over the country?

Can anyone point out where the special forces reservists group, has made any indication in the above 15 points that they have any intention of seizing power?

If there was to be a coup in Greece, it would have happened already, not long after Papandreou called in the IMF and ECB, aka Troika..

What these people want, is what every other Greek wants. The salvation of their country.
What they are sick of, is corrupt politicians. Corrupt politicians who were enabled and enforced by Europe, and who are now being supported again.

What these people want is for the rule of law to apply to everyone, for law and order to be restored and respected and enforced properly, for things to work the way they are supposed to work.
For people to have jobs, for the government to do what it is supposed to do, to create jobs, to attract foreign investment to create jobs, to take measures to stimulate the economy and create economic growth.

For five years now, there has been nothing but austerity.
When does the austerity end? When does the plan for economic growth kick in?
Is there even a plan for that? Or is the Troikas plan simply to cut spending continually?

I agree with every single of those 15 demands, except the demands regarding German property and war reparations.



You guys actually don't really understand what's happening in Greece. I mean, you understand bits and pieces of it.

But in reality, nothing has changed in Greece in terms of why Greece was in massive debt to begin with.
The same criminals aka politicians are still there. None of them have been touched. None of them prosecuted.

They've crippled an entire country through their incompetence, greed and corruption, and certain other governments and some big European corporations have been complicit in that corruption and greed along the way. Not that they are to blame.
