News worthy murders? Why?

What is more worrisome is the news that does NOT make the news such as this.

In 1997 at the Starbuck at 1810 Wisconsin Ave three employees were shot to death in the back store room of the store. There was no robbery, just a "random" act of violence.

A lot of stuff was happening around the White House at that time.
