There is a magic when you feel love
all of life's troubles you can rise above
But when all you loved is nothing you plea
Thinking of all you had, all that wouldn't be
Pouring a dark red glass of wine while I sit
Next to her guilt that I cannot bear to lift
I looked around with no real place to go
She just held her head down so low
Surly there may be something left?
Her dark eyes leave me bereft
It is A dark pill to swallow
knowing love this hollow
being alone your fear?
Why shed a tear?
here with me
hear you see
awash in sea
leaving free
raise a glass
make it last
Hold her hand
Hearts of sand
7 years of guilt
health left to wilt
so much left unsaid
love is life or Love is dead...

That is some good stuff! I have noticed that you have a particular signature in your work at the moment in that you create images with your words. In fact, one of the most impressive things about it, is that your work creates images on more than one level!

I particularly like that image.
The wine drips into the glass for the Toast.
Excellent use of word shaping, again, for the wine & glass.

This poem speaks to a Universal
(Well, at least I think it so!)
Who hasn't felt this at some point?

When feeling can be crystalized into words, into a glass made of words,
it gives fuller expression of the experience for all those who can nod quietly,
raise their glass, and Toast with you.

Why silly? I don't find it silly. Your writing is not silly.

It is good to practice writing daily!
It is a great way to get better and better - I encourage it!

Doing the word-shaping is a great exercise in structure, no? I would find that a challenge myself.
