...The technology could allow you to open a door without a key or have tech gadgets like smartphones and tablets unlock the second that you walk into a room. It sounds like something out of a science fiction movie, but experts say it is the wave of the future.
“It’s going to be a way for us to interact with the world around us without having to constantly identify ourselves,” Ulanoff explained.
Bionym, a Canadian company, developed a wristband to recognize the pattern of an individual pulse. The wristband transmits information that allows the user to do things like withdrawing money without a bank card...

or (If you happen to be an undesirable in the eyes of TPTB)...

Nice. I'd definitely want that.

Oh, and every single type of new tech security they introduce can be hacked / copied eventually!
(This sounds very much like when cars were first fitted with "totally secure" remote control alarms/immobilisers, remember that??
The crooks just waited in car parks / parking lots with a "capture" device which recorded the transmissions from the remote alarm keyfob.
One press of a button later and they've exactly replicated the signal they've just captured, and can unlock and re-mobilise your pride and joy)

Ah well, that's me further up the hit list I guess?

You are dead on. This is going to to advertised and sold on the premise of making your life easier by reducing the amount of time you spend putting in passwords and simple things like unlocking doors that aren't even that much of a problem but might be nice if it were automatic and giving you more control of the things in your life when, in fact, it will be the most restrictive and controlling thing to ever hit the face of our planet.
