So as a person with issues would you want to be incarcerated for evil thoughts about your ex-wife?

When I build a dungeon and buy all the implements and conspire with people to commit evil against my ex then yes, I would wish to be locked up, for a long time.

Not everyone is as keen as you are to be locked up against their will. People shouldn't lose their freedom because they MIGHT do something.

You're saying one person is more important than another. I dispute the inequity.

He isn't going free. He's going to be punished for his pedophilia. He should not be punished for crimes he hasn't committed. He should receive intensive psychological treatment.

It is not just pedophilia he is being punished for.

He is being punished for conspiracy to commit murder. He collaborated with other individuals to kidnap and murder children, do you think that such plots cannot be punished by law?

I read about this the other day. This is sick, and I am very glad they found him before he had the chance to act out his sick fantasies.

I normally would say no one should be convicted of an act that they did not technically commit but with the child porn and other grotesque pictures and conversations I do believe this man in fact got too good a deal.

He is deranged, no time away in prison is going to cure him. He deserves to be injected and put to death. Just freaking sick.

He wont be murdered (by the state anyway). He will be institutionalized, probably for the rest of his life. Such action is completely justified as the man has shown that he is a danger to the population.

What I would be interested in finding out is why is it generally accepted that he has never used the dungeon, or any other dungeon to kill children?

A very short sentence is the best we can hope for. Then let him out and accidentally slip up about his address down the local.

You know, Ithink if groups like Anonymous and WikiLeaks got together with authorities there could be a lot more done about this sort of thing. If they could put their differences aside now and then for common good. Not just to catch perps but to scare off others that are considring it.

Saying that, with the gross amount of pedofiles in positions of power and influence I doubt a solution to the problem is what they are looking for. Rather they would look for ways to only catch pedophiles that are low profile.

I don't for the life of me understand why we protect monsters like these. Death is all they deserve, and I for one would gladly be the person to push the button. I say stop the policy of protective custody and just throw them in with the general population of the prison, they would soon get what they deserve.

I really hope they track down the source of the images he had in his possession. It's scary to think that there are people in this world capable of doing such terrible things.

I would beat him with a shortened rubber garden hose for a few days every other hour. Then I would stuff him inside his child size coffin and bury the puke alive. If he didn't fit, I would break his joints with my bare hands until he did. No mercy for real life monsters.

Yeah I hear you about the general population thing though, I mean it did serve Dahmer justice as well as others, that is for sure. However both ideas leave a chance for the creature to get out over some future discovered technicality or law. Possibly overcrowding, hell even a revolution.

I have read your posts and I really can't believe you are trying to defend this person. this guy deserves the wood chipper feet first at a slow setting. I have zero compassion for anyone like this and I think our laws are too soft on these sickos and that's why we have so many of them in our world. they know that even if they get caught they will be put in protective custody.

I would agree with you that noone should be tryed for thought crimes. I still don't know if I think pedophillia is a perversion or disease. I can't imagine what sort of helpful therapy would work for it. I can't imagine any psyche being able to talk me out of liking the opposite sex, just like churches can't 'cure' people of being gay.

What this man did was arrange for a scenario to be set up ready for eating, raping and killing innocents, that would detest thier demise more than he would detest prison. It stopped being a thought crime when he acted extenssively to put his plans into action. What I mean is, if a terrorist planted a bomb in a car on a busy street but had no time to set it off before being caught? One more step and he could have killed many.

He seems to be the opposite of people like you. Instead of being full of empathy and compassion he would inflict the most heinous of pains and tortures to innocents with no choice over there outcome. He had choice. His victims would have had none.

This man is beyond help. It is such a shame to see you wasting that fiery spirit on this man, even if he may be suffering.

On the contrary, I think they'd try not to kill him. Eventually, he will die from abuse at the hands of the prisoners but I do think they will show enough control to keep him around for a while. He'll make the perfect "toy" for them.

Even if he were given some form of protection, such as solitary or a protective wing, you can be sure that the guards will have their backs turned at some point, and some horrible acts will befall him.

Actually, having worked at a prison, I can say that isn't always the case. Higher ups are aware of the problem with cho-mo's in lockup and are incarcerating them together. The prison I worked at had a population of 1500 and over half of them were pedophiles. They were left alone for the most part by the other inmates because the cho-mo's outnumbered the other inmates.

Such a policy of locking up similar criminals sympathetic to that particular crime may save pedophiles lives but it also gives them an opportunity to collaborate and compare notes for when they get out. Most of them are pretty bold in their honesty that they fully intend to continue their perverse lifestyle when they get out, hoping they've learned from their mistakes and won't get caught next time.

I think it is a gross exageration to say that people on this thread are as cruel as he intended to be. People are angry that he acted to rape, eat and kill children. They have a right to vent that anger. I think it is very offensive to compare the posters here with his intentions, and offensive to people with mental illness that you would label him in the same box as them.

What makes you say he is mentally ill? He sounds more like a psychopath to me. Functioning, rational and evil.

I work with the mentally ill. They're constantly demonized despite the fact that many have very good reasons for thinking abnormally. I'm tired of it. People are just as cruel as this pedophile is, which is proven by the comments in this thread. Thanks for your thoughts.

Folks with down syndrome don't statistically go around raping, murdering or eating children. Do you comprehend the difference between illness and pure evil?
