Please tell me, who do you think a modern day good guy is? Have an example?

I know I will get flamed out for this but how about Snowdon or whatever he/she is calling themselves now?
You don't find 'em much braver than that...but what do I know.

I also would like to hear what your version of the "good guy" is?

Name me 3 politicians that have shown themselves to be true champions of the people and have risen above petty politics.

Nope, not a good guy in my book.

Someone who STEALS is still a thief, no matter what they are stealing or what the motive is. The fact that he ran to our "enemies" for protection doesn't make him a good guy either. Exposing non-domestic secrets doesn't make him a good guy either. Being deceptive and breaking his contractual obligations, NDA, and his word doesn't make him a good guy either.

He is just someone people want to worship because they think he is sticking it to the government, when in fact he is just making it worse off for all of us.

OK. Again, how many decades did you have to go back to find someone that you considered worthy?

(personally, Wilson would not have made my list, but that's just me)

I was beginning to wonder about ATS, how can people know so little when ignorance is supposedly denied?

There aren't many true "good guys" in power...never have been, never will be.

There are only "better" guys and "worse" guys. It's all a matter of perspective.

You aren't going to find a "good guy" in politics...good guys don't seek that attention/power...anyone that does has motives that aren't naturally "good".

See, I can buy this type of reasoning if you are willing to sell your morals and principles short.

I vote for "None of the above"

Not a recent one.

Hence my point.

When was the last good political leader than spanned ideologies?

When was the last good political leader than represented the people?

As a side note, don't dis Star Trek.

What was the last one in your opinion?

I don't think anyone in our politics, by nature, can be considered for the people...not even the founders.

I said "brave"...not hero.

I don't know. No-one in recent history. I've been disillusioned somewhat by the Tea Party candidates.

Libertarian candidates, 3rd party candidates would perhaps satisfy the requirements.

Putin in recent times has been made too look like the all round nice guy that loves having his photo taken as a average ordinary person doing simple weekend activities so we can all relate to him.
im starting to think that there is more to this!
snowden,ww3,g20 talks between usa & Russia over syria, the pipeline, the comet!
he is bing portrayed as a man of peace by the puppet masters for one reason your geuss is as good as mine
I geuss we will see soon

Well I always assumed that Obama was a puppet for the guys behind the scenes in the US, just like Bush and most other American presidents? and when it comes to Putin he actually seems to be pulling the strings himself, at least having some semblance power.
