I really don't think you needed to start this thread, after all it's the first thing you say in nearly every post you make..."I've been telling you guys for weeks now, yadda yadda..."

We KNOW....we GET IT....you dA MAN!

And yeah, what that other person said...This is FAR from over. Just getting started, actually.

So you figure a plan not everyone has even agreed to yet, means it's all over? The rebels are just going to lay down arms and stop fighting? Assad will become the Good Humor Man and make everyone in Syria smile?

This has been building for 2 years. I think it'll take a bit more than 1 week to say it's over and the danger has passed. Just my thinking.

I'm right there with ya. I posted something similar in another doom porn post and it was promptly ignored. There is going to be no strike in Syria unless Assad turns out to be the dumbest man on the planet. They gave everyone a way out and it will be taken. Obama couldn't be more happy to get out of this one.

All the doomers will pontificate and wag fingers, it just proves they don't understand the situation. It could all change of course, but right now it's over. Now everyone can focus on Miley's ass again, until something else comes along.

Only because others wasted bandwidth telling me how wrong i was. What its okay for folks to use bandwidth telling me how wrong i was going to be but its not okay for me to say i was right? Come on now....

I saw your original statements and was among those, I believe, who mentioned such absolutes were foolish to say. Too many attacks and little wars over the past 20 years have started and ended while others were in disbelief it ever happened in the first place.

It isn't that anyone with sanity hopes you prove to be wrong. I'd ask anyone feeling that way to seek help. Somewhere. Anywhere. Just get some.

It's more that to say there *will be NO* action, as if carved in granite and well in advance? You're either a true psychic (and there is a million dollar prize to claim, in that case), you are carrying a GS rank and Uncle Sammy paycheck, or...your just making an unusually confident guess. Much like everyone else...but a little flashy for others to pass by.

Personally? I hope you DO turn out to be right. It may just mean the difference between my son passing his 18th birthday as a happy boy, working into adulthood....or passing it in some crap hole sand pit, holding a rifle and hoping against hope that day isn't his last on Earth. Really.. Everyone is with your sentiment..just, perhaps, not the delivery and certainty without basis to see for it?

Thank God, your not a leader of the World.. Being quick to judge, and holding a grudge about people's opinion on ATS, as your excuse to make a egotistical thread in immature, and trying to make an excuse for it exclusively to me, just tells me how important your opinion is about Syria. Lemme make something crystal clear, you have no idea what is going to happen in Syria, and neither does anyone else on ATS, posting their opinion, the only difference in our opinions on that, is most people accept they do not know what is going to happen, and are just posting their idea's and conspiracies on what they think will happen..

You having to make a thread about your opinion is childish, immature and a very quick judgement in geo-political affairs...

no need to single me out on ats bro..

Just calling a spade a spade...

I think you are spending too much time focusing on Miley's ass if you think as of right now this is over...

Did you even listen to Obama's speach to Americans? He said if there isn't a swift diplomatic solution, there will be military strikes on Syria with or without approval....If you can't see it just yet, this is shaping up to be biblical! You wait until the next, I don't want to call it false flag because it will be well planned, but once there is a chemical weapon used again (more than likely NOT by Syria, but will be blamed) you can bet your bottom dollar Obama and his posse are going to strike!

Obama/Kerry/Susan Rice/ etc WANT Assad out of power and are willing to do whatever it takes to accomplish this....Right now they want us to look over here at peace while over here other plans are stirring....

Its to soon to say its over, When all those ships in the Mid. Are gone then MAYBE it will be over, lets not forget that those ships aren't send over there just to back down again.

While I have always said this won't be the start of WW3, Syria remains key.

And I truly believe that when it happens you will just see that rockets have been fired, if they don't attack within say 48 hours I don't believe anything will happen, and this has been proven now again.

Keep in mind that the real problems will start occurring now, Russia has humiliated US/Obama future mutual agreements will cease to exist. And that is the start of a new cold war era.

Obama isn't just gonna sit by and see how Russia seems to become the Reason in this madness.

oh yea well, Putin has not putted yet, Obama has not had the chance to see the proof that all the Chemicals weapons and the way to make them are gone form Syria, UN has not gone in o verify it , Kerry still has not been seen doing cart wheels McCain has not done a 12 hour senate speech demanding that we send troops in to find them weapons in Syria showing picks of Iraq Iran war victims and of Iraq mobile chemical weapons labs, that for the first time are being said to have come from Iraq in 2000, with proof from CIA, and NSA using photos and phone recordings to drive home the point of "we must do this" till then tell it to the hand

Yes I watched it. It was a masterful speech if you ask me. Did you happen to watch his interview with Fox the night before his speech? I think his look can be summed up with "smug." Obama has to say the strike is still on, that's a given, so your point about that is moot. You have to look at the context. No one wants the strike in the Obama admin, now they have a way to delay or not have a strike at all. I'm betting on the latter.

Now, the whole reason Obama jumped on this is because, he doesn't want to do it. If he has to do it, he wants as much political cover as possible. If Assad throws up a bunch of BS and weapons are not moved, two months from now the US can go to the UN again (after all peaceful options have been tried) and rightly plead a case that Syria needs punished. This is a completely different affair with UN or other nations on board.

We will wait an see what happens, but the imminent strike they were talking about is not going to happen. Remember all the news outlets were saying in the next few days. A week ago ATS was abuzz with "False Flag" and "WW3" doom porn. All that was wrong. Once again too many people bought the hype.
