I question always remains is where is the manpower for nation wide marial law going to come from? The US would have a very hard time declaring martial law in a major city much less the entire country. Are law enforement/military are just not set up for it.

So, is all that bluster based on this quote:

So, obviously that's saying that they are simulating attacks that would theoretically take down the power grid if they actually happened, and not that the act of the simulation could take down the actual power grid. That's understood, right?

This is not a false flag but a cover up for actual event coming. I don't know if it is from comets or sun or what but they have been trying to prepare. My friend who works for electric company is really freaked, govt guys came around talked to owner and managers. Friend flipped and is preparing for lights to be out indefinitely. He has moved his family to the woods and got bunch of gas for generators.

Whatever it is it scared him and he not one to be scared of anything.

The Russians have a hard time getting their guys to show up for duty and not desert when they do. Who in their right mind thinks they would be doing anything in the US. Besides the for nation wide matial law your going to need about 6 million troops. That would be a light level of martional law. And that would assume local law enforcement is assisting them. The fact is it simply is not possible.

Highly doubt they would even want the power to go down. Nothing has done a better job of controlling people than technology. Yes, Technology has woken up a lot of people because of sites like ATS, but in general it is used to subdue the population and is doing a wonderful job at it.

Personally I would love it if we lost power. Yes there would be chaos in many places, but in time things will calm down.

Oh, I don't know about that. I'm sure there are plenty of reassuring skeptics on ATS who would react negatively to your suggestion that they're working for the government.

Anyway, OP, I agree that the prospect of a long-term power outage is not pleasant. Being cut off from electricity feels like getting cut off from life-- I don't think I would mentally function right.

Cutting the power off before Xmas. Not gonna happen. Big business calls the shots in America and xmas is one of their power times. Follow the money when looking for conspiracies...not politics, Alex J, Rush, wanna be's trying to sell books on doom porn.

In fact the government will exercise it's power to keep everything conducive to buying and consuming. Notice the price of gas is going down so people will drive to the stores and consume, consume, consume.

Martial Law may be instituted some time but not during the holidays!!!

Paid shills will always speak of the financial risks in standing up to a corrupt Government.
This is their only motivating factor (Money) , therefor they believe everyone else is the same as them and can only see the monetary side of any problem.

They have very little conscience , but when perceiving a challenge regarding their motives will feel the sting of the accusation. They feel this sting because of the small conscience they do have. This leads them to feel guilty and guilt is an uncomfortable feeling , so attack is warranted to defend their position and justify their actions.

I agree with you, pinkorchid - last christmas season was bad for retailers - and in the news, walmart is cancelling orders as they have a surplus of inventory they can't unload now.

I think most people are looking at the gov't and realizing that the financial collapse -sparked on with obama care - millions of people have only the bare necessities now - and it's only getting worse - put in a few "natural" (I use the term loosely) disasters - and you've got the destruction of the US.

I believe obama just said "We've got 5 days, and the job is done".

Unfortunaely, it reminds me of what Jesus Christ said while on the Cross - "It is done."

I don't think obama is the antichrist - no one likes him that much.

So where do I get my check? And here I thought I was just a common sense shrill. What would be the point of FEMA camps? The US economy would collapse and the all the millions of UN troops or robots or lizard people would not get paid and go home. Look what just closing down part of Boston for a day cost. It took a massive effort and cost millions not just in paying for all the law enforement but, millions lost in tax revenue for the day. The scary truth is the US is compelety unprepared for any sort massive event that would require martial law even in a large city. Look at the mess in New Orleans and how long it took to restore order.

The reality of large scale Marital Law in the US is nearly as tactically impossible as a ground based invasion of the Mainland US happening. The doom porn people seem to forget that the geographic size of the mainland US alone makes it nearly impossible. All I want is one of these people to explain the logistics and manpower needed to enact and enforce martial law across the mainland us.

I am surprised this thread doesn't make mention of the infamous EMP that an invading country will use to knock out all of the US military infrastructure, but nothing else, within a few minutes.
